Chapter 10 Part 1

Summer POV

During detention Justin and I just spoke about each others lives and I realized that its not just about the money but that he barely sees his dad which made me realize how we're similar because I barely see my parents and if I do it's for a Month and there back in another state doing some job. After detention I went home but Sadé wasn't there so she left a note saying

"I'm going home but thanks for being there for me I love you - Sadé" . So I texted Anna telling her to meet me by the red lobster on Rochester place after I got dressed.

"Oh my gosh Anna you look so beautiful" I said as I embraced her with a hug that seemed to last almost an hour until we entered the restaurant.

"When did you get so thick below" she said as I remembered she was bi in middle song but that didn't bother me or got in the way of our friendship

"I don't even know my body changed a lot between 9 and 10 grade" I admitted since In middle school I had barely any shape or breasts which everyone had already developed except me which made me felt insecure but thankfully Anna was always by my side.

"I see but how's school and how's your parents I haven't seen them in forever" she said bubbly

"There Alive and healthy but schools good"

"That's great but tell me more about Mr.combs I know he's in your grade" she said as I knew this conversation was bound to come up

"I don't know what to tell you we're just friends and but tell me about everything since we had our little friendship break" I said trying to get the attention off of me

"A lot has happened in the end of 9th grade my dad passed and i started talking to this boy name Michael who took me out of this suicidal stage I went through and now were together" she busted out in one breath which broke my heart because we promised each other we would be there for each other throughout everything but we both never kept that promised.

"I'm sorry I wish I could've been there for you" I said

"Don't worry at least our friendship break is over" she giggled. After we both ordered our favorite shrimp parmesan with a side of snowy crab legs and ate we cached up on everything from school to our family although she smoothly tried to put the subject on Justin.

"You busy Friday?" I asked

"Nope why"

"Well Justin's having a party and I wouldn't mind if you join in with my friend and I sadé"I said

"Sure just text me the details" she smiled

Friday

The day went pretty fast surprisingly that Justin's party was tonight which everyone was going to but I was still contemplating on whether I should go or not.

"Just come pleaseeee" sadé pleaded for me to come to the party tonight as we sat in ms.bomb Latin class

"I don't have anything to wear" I said making excuses knowing that have way more than enough to go

"Oh please your closet is 10 times bigger than mine, ill find you something" she said

"What y'all talking about" Justin said making his way over to me and sadé leaving trey and Shaq behind

"Your girl over here don't know if she coming because she thinks she doesn't have enough clothes when she does" sadé said

"She don't gotta come with clothes" he smirked

"Your disgusting and I'm not his girl" I said correcting her as they both began to laugh

"Nah but forreal come I wanna see your pretty face at my house tonight" he said bitting his lip
