Dear Rose Graven,
You died two weeks ago. The day of your funeral took place, it was sunny. The sky was a wonderful shade of blue, and pure white clouds dotted across the horizon. It would've been a great day.
You were wearing an soft green dress. I wanted to open your eyelids. Why? You're eyes were green Rose. The most brilliant shade of green I have ever seen. They lit up the room when you smiled- the were amazing. Your soft, curly hair was placed perfectly against the coffin. You were wearing the necklace.
A year into our relationship, I gave you a necklace. It was a silver dove, with diamond studs across the wing. It held a rose with ting ruby specks on it. I remember the night perfectly. It was a winter night and we were taking a troll around town. We stopped at a small bridge and chatted about random things. I was so nervous. I kept saying the same thing over and over in my head; just do it Cameron! It's just a gift, it's not like you're proposing!
I did give it to you. I never felt so many emotions. You covered you're mouth with your hands and gasped. Tears escaped your eyes as you tackled me with a hug. You never took it of sense.
That was four years ago.
We dated for four years. Four whole years. Now it's ruined because of them. Do you know who "them" are? Of course you don't Rose. I know though..
Michael Forin, and Joshua Kurn. They killed you Rose. Joshua and Michael cornered you on a sidewalk while you were walking to our house. They pulled you out to the road, and waited for a car to come. Then, when it came, the left you. They ran while you got hit. Who in fucking world does that?
Those two went to jail today. At least the driver stopped. Her name was Emily Cross. She said..... She said when she hit you, she screamed. She felt like a murderer, and was scared. Emily kept saying over and over again, "I'm so sorry God.. Im going to go to hell. Oh God I'm not going to heaven!" Emily was very sorry. She called 911 and stopped the boys from running far.
You know I don't go to church that often, nor do I pray. But the day you died, I did. I apologized to God for not going to church, and I thanked him. I thanked him for Emily. She helped you Rose, and without her.... I don't know what I would've done. Your killers would be on the run, and everything would be a mess.
Emily has bubblegum pink hair, and soft blue eyes. She's very pale, and has freckles scattered across her nose. Her attitude reminds me of you. Sarcastic, funny, carefree, but kind and selfless. She told me something the other day. Surprisingly, she stopped by our house. Your family don't come anymore, they think that if they give me time I'll be fine.
I was laying on your side of the bed, hugging your pillows and crying when I heard the doorbell ring. I groaned and rolled over, deciding not to go down to the door. If I didn't answer it, the person would go away. Well, I was wrong. Emily broke in. She barged into my room, breathing heavily.
"Well, thanks for letting me in, friend." Emily said with her arms crossed. I roll over, turning my back against her. She blushes madly when she realized I was only in my boxers. "Cameron, you can't keep doing this." I glanced up at her lazily. "Doing what? Breathing?" I honestly agree with you then. I don't want to be here anymore. I want to go." Emily sighed and kneeled down, taking my hand. "No Cameron. I mean this! You can't keep hiding from society. It may hurt-"
How dare she say it hurts! She had no right to speak to me like that. She must've saw that, so she changed what she was saying.
"I was there before. My eldest brother died. But I want to help you. You can't do what I did." I looked up a her worriedly. "What do you do?" She sighed again, and stood up. "Just listen to this. Rose would want you to go on with your life. She'd won't want you to kill yourself, she'd want you to live your life."
After she said that she turned away and walked to the door. But before she went out she paused, "come to the café with me tomorrow at 11:30, okay?"
I agreed.
I should meet her now Rose. Wish me luck... I love you,
Love,
Cameron Fields
