Mya's POV

I woke up to the sound of Jazmine crying. Yawning I stretched before heading over to where she was lying. Once she saw me she grabbed my hand and attempted to stuff it in her mouth. I couldn't help but laugh as I lifted her and danced with her a bit. As we swung around she giggled and I did too, I mean I must've looked funny to her. We danced for a bit longer before I heard someone clear there throat. Embarrassed I turned around and saw a very very very fine doctor standing there looking amused. This doctor was light skinned with dreads that fell to his shoulders. He looked about six feet five inches but it could've just been because my short ass is only 5'7. He was very muscular and had big plump lips that looked way too good right now.

"Having fun?" He asked and his voice had my knees weak.

"Um... I don't know how to answer that" I said chuckling nervously before putting down Jazmine.

"Let me start over. I'm Andrew, the doctor and you are?"

"I'm Mya, the completely embarrassed dancer" he laughed and I joined in

"Hey who am I to judge your dancing"

"True" I replied with a smile

"So is this your daughter or..."

"Oh no this is my friend's kid, I think he went to the bathroom so I was just entertaining her"

"Oh okay. Do you have any little ones?"

"Nope." I said popping the P

"Well I bet you would be an amazing mother"

"Thanks" A comfortable silence fell between us until Jazmine started crying. Like instinct we both rushed to her side and attempted to see what was wrong with her. I backed up remembering it was his job and watched him pick up Jazmine. He started singing to her and her cries slowly stopped.

"Can you pass me some of her food?" I nodded and grabbed her diaper bag and fished out some baby food before handing it to him. "Did you want to feed her or?"

"I'll do it" He handed me Jazmine and I took a seat in one of the chairs before placing her in the high-chair. I opened the food and she immediately started making noise. I spooned some out before feeding it to her and she ate silently, only hitting the table to let me know she was hungry. I continued to feed her and noticed Andrew moving closer.

"Your really good at this. Are you sure you don't have kids?" He joked

"I'm sure, just a lot of younger siblings"

"Mya I know we just met but I was wondering if y--"

"I'm back and with fo-- Who are you?"

"Doctor Jones, Jazmine's doctor and you?"

"Jazmine's father and Mya's boyfriend"

"You have a boyfriend?" He asked turning towards me

"No, he's just my friend"

"For now" Desmond mumbled before handing me a bag with McDonalds "You can go now" he told Andrew and I rolled my eyes at his rudeness.

"I'll walk you out"

"Why? The doors right there" Desmond said motioning to the door not too far from where he is

"Then why don't you leave and get out my buisness" I walked to where Andrew was holding in a laugh and walked him out making sure to close the door.

"Funny guy"

"Yeah. Hilarious" I mumbled sarcastically "Now what were you saying before we were rudely interrupted"

"I was wondering if you had any plans this Friday night"

"Is this you asking me out?" I asked teasing and he scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Yeah I guess it is"

"Well then it's just your luck. I'm free" he smiled and I swear I saw heaven. I gave him my number and he gave me his before he placed a kiss on my cheek and headed out. I landed a date with a doctor! I did a little victory dance before heading back in. I couldn't even open the door before I heard Desmond yell 'Oww'. Nosy ass. I entered and he was acting like nothing happened.

"Having fun?"

"I don't know what your talking about"

"Jazmine was your daddy spying?" I asked her and she started clapping. "See even the baby knows your lying"

"Man how are you going to sell me out like that Jaz" she paid him no attention and started fussing because her food wasn't in her mouth. I spooned some more out and gave it to earning a big ol' toothy grin from her.

"When can w- you take her home?" I asked coughing to cover up my slip up. There was no we.

"Whenever I sign her out" I nodded and wiped her face with her rag earning a whine from her. I placed a kiss on her cheek once her face was clean before she let out a big grin and a loud noise came from her diaper. Desmond's eyes widened and I picked her up before handing her to him. "What am I going to do?"

"Hmm, well you could try changing her?" I remarked sarcastically earning a glare in my direction.He stood up holding Jazmine as far away from his body as possible before bringing her into the bathroom and locking the door. I could hear him unbuttoning her one-sie and it got silent before I hear him yell

"Oh Hell No! Mya!"

"You know I think I needed this. It's been a very long week and honestly I'm just happy it's Friday" I told Kayla and Shante as the woman painted my nails

"Right! I am ready to retire and I just became a pediatrician" Kayla throws in as the woman finishes her hair and it look good. Kayla gave the woman two twenties and a ten before turning so her chair was facing me. "So. Girl to girl. Are you tapping that"

"Tapping who?" She made a not- so- obvious jester to Desmond who was playing with Jazmine and I rolled my eyes "Nope"

"So you wouldn't mind if I worked my magic on him" I waved her off

"Go ahead"

"Are you sure because if you want him..."

"Girl if I wanted him I would've went for him besides there is a cute doctor that has been texting me all day"

"Well damn, in that case, wish me luck" She pushed up her boobs and smoothed out her clothes before strutting over to where he was. My stomach began feeling weird but i ignored it and turned to where Shante was staring at me giving me the Your-A-Big-Ole-Dumbass look.

"What?"

"Nothing" She mumbled turning the page

"No forreal what?"

"Just wondering how dumb can you get"

"What?" She gave me a look of disbelief before closing the magazine and placing it on her lap

"How can you tell Kayla to go after the man your feeling?"

"Easy. I'm not feeling him"

"Damn liar" She replied before kissing her teeth and picking back up the magazine to read it again. I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but look over where Kayla and Desmond sat laughing over something she had said. I noticed her hand resting on his chest and couldn't help but be jealous. What the hell am I doing? I shook the thought of being jealous out of mind and decided to read a magazine because if I didn't, the thought of being jealous wouldn't sound as crazy as it should've.
