It has been 8 years since Leo went back for Calypso. He was tired and hungry, but the son of Hephaestus never gave up. After all, he did swear on the River Styx that he would come back. Finally, he saw an island in the distance. Grinning, Leo steered the Argo II towards it.
Calypso was bored out of her mind. She told herself every day, "Leo's going to come back for me. I know he will." Over and over and over. While she was pulling up carrots from her garden, she saw a shadow in the sky in the shape of a ship. A flying ship. A tear ran down her face. "He came."
Leo landed the Argo II on the white sand beaches of Ogygya. He got out only to be knocked over by Calypso. They hugged.
"Come on," Leo said. "We're going back to camp." However, when the two tried to get on the ship, there was a border preventing Calypso from going through.
"I can't go through," she cried. "It's not possible to leave."
"Then I will stay here with you."
"No. Your friends will be worried. Go. It's not possible for us to be together." Suddenly, Zeus came down in a flash of lightning.
"Actually, it is." He smiled. "But are you both willing to pay the price of being together?" Both Leo and Calypso nodded their heads. "As you wish. He snapped his fingers, and there was darkness.
