Mia's POV

We went back home. Harry thought it would be too dangerous to tell me his story in the open; where anyone could hear us. I tried not to walk near him on our way home since he's not even a human to begin with. He seems too relaxed as if he were a normal person; like water under a bridge. I constantly pinched the skin on my hand, hoping this is all just a dream.

Then Harry stopped walking. He turned around and and took a few steps towards me. His facial features softened as he looked at me in the eyes.

"Why are you scared?" He lowly asks, but I look away.

"W-what are you talking about? I'm not scared."

"Now you're lying." His accent became thicker as he took a step closer to me. "I can sense emotions."

I press my lips into a thin line. I can feel that pinching feeling of my eyes getting watery, and I look up at him.

"What do you want from me?" My voice cracks at the end as I sound like I'm surrendering myself to him.

His lips turn into a frown as he held his hand up, his thumb wipes away the small tear that rolled down my cheek. He caressed my jaw with the same thumb as a small smile formed on his face.

"There's an explanation to why I'm here, and I swear, I'll never hurt you."

I sniff, felling my eyes get puffy. "How can I trust you?"

His green eyes became lighter, like mint ice cream. His focus on me gained as I felt him trying to read what's written in my own eyes.

"You'll never know until you do."

We got home minutes after. My parents still aren't home, so I took Harry in my room without having to worry about them. I sat down on my bed, still cautious in that he's an alien, so he could change his way in any second.

Harry sat down on the floor like a little boy, but I held my laugh in. "Uhm you don't have to sit on the floor-- there's a chair next to you."

He looked next to him, but shook his head. "I'm fine like this."

I nodded before I got comfortable in my bed to hear him say his story. He cleared his throat before he pushed his hair back out of his face.

"I come from planet mars," he begins to speak. "There's been a deadly disease going on in my planet that's been killing a lot of female aliens. I'm one of the most powerful leaders, so it's my job to protect my race. I've been send here to your planet to try to find a cure, something that can help my family, and everyone else back home."

I interrupt him. "What happens if you can't find a cure?"

He looks down to his hands. "Then I'll have to go with plan B."

"And what's that?"

"I'll have to send human females to Mars, and get them all pregnant to keep our race going."
