Evan POV

"this will be dangerous, people will get hurt" I spoke loudly.

In front of me was my pack, Jax, Aiden, Sarah, Scar and Dom, there eyes on me as I spoke, the past few weeks have been quiet but other packs have warned us that we are in danger a group of hunters have been spotted killing our kind, we didn't feel bothered but last night things got personal as they attacked Scarlett while she was walking home.

she put up a fight, but I could still see she was hurt she's been quite since the incident, I need to show my pack that I am a leader, I promised I would protect each an everyone of them and this happening isn't what I promised, if it's a war the hunters want it's a war they will get.

"Alpha we will stand by you we are not afraid of humans" Aiden says gritting his teeth

I nodded. "as I suspected, scar and sarah will stay here while we go into the woods"

"what?" Scar says standing up crossing her arms

I glared at her, she was stubborn but this isn't up for discussion I looked down at sarah who looked petrified staring at me in shock.

"Alpha I'm not trying to be difficult it's just that, I need to do this they attacked me. I don't want to be babysitting little miss sunshine over here while you go fight my battles." scar says her short hair  covering her face

Sarah didn't seem to mind the rude comment, but I did.

"scar you are weak right now you haven't fully healed and quiet frankly I don't want to be carrying dead weight while we do this, I'm not going to ask you I'm ordering you to stay put and teach sarah how to defend herself, do I make myself clear?" I narrowed my eyes

scar shakes her head in disbelief, and nodded.

I raise my eyebrow at her, and she clears her throat and mumbles "yes alpha"

I turn my attention to the boys, who where both wearing backpacks full off supplies just incase things don't go our way, we headed out Dom, Jax and Aiden behind me after walking into the woods three minutes goes by and I heard someone step on a branch I turn around too see the boys eyes glued on me.

"someone's following us" Jax says his eyes scanning the trees

I put my hand into a fist, and begin to take a few steps forward in a matter of seconds I saw someone's back I turned them around with one hand and slammed their body on the tree, my hand instantly on her neck.

she looked up at me in horror, and suddenly I felt my wolf kick in and feel guilt wash over me and I quickly let go off her and took a step back.

"Esa" I growl in anger

she had her hand on her throat, she looked so frightened of me.

"I'm sorry, I was at the house and I saw y-you guys walking into the woods and I follo-"

"didn't you daddy ever tell you not to walk into the woods esamae?" Dom says

"I am an alpha, show me some respect" esamae says walking towards Dom

"You ain't my alpha" he snaps

"Dom, Aiden and I will look around and see if their are any Scouts that can lead us to the hunters we will find you" Jax says

They begin to walk away and Dominic turns to face esamae and smiles at her.

"bye pup" Esa waves

I clear my throat and everyone is gone, I begin to walk and I heard esamae

"where do you think your going?" she says angrily
