After crossing a distance of 940 kilometers and for about 2 hours, the team finally landed in Milan, Italy. As usual, if they raced on the European continent, they flew on Wednesday which was a day before the media day.
Italy was one of Seb's favourite countries. Some things he liked from the country were the scenery, Vespa, foods, Monza circuit, and of course, his maiden F1 victory when he was still with Scuderia Toro Rosso.
Just after they arrived at the airport, some of Seb's fans welcomed them and forced him a little to take photos with them. Although he looked a little tired, but he didn't want to disappoint the people who had been supporting him on his career.
The distance from Milan to Monza wasn't too far and they decided to go there by using a train. In the train, Seb couldn't stop talking about his victories in 2008 and 2011 to Clara. It felt fantastic to think that he won both races with different teams.
There, she sat beside Seb. And in front of them, there was only Heikki who sometimes glanced towards the window to see the scenery around. As his mates, they always listened the explanation from him who looked so excited about the Italian GP race that weekend.
"Clara, what's your prediction for the race?" Heikki asked her.
"I believe that Seb will win it."
"Sure?" Seb asked.
Clara glanced at him and smiled. "Yes, of course! What about you, Heikki?"
"I think so too. Hopefully, we won't hear the people boo at him."
"I really hope so, but I'm not sure."
Clara couldn't believe that Seb was booed when he won at the Belgian GP. She knew about it as she watched the race on television when she was hospitalized and she also heard the spectators booing. But she thought that their target was a protester from a global environment organization who was reckless to climb to the top of podium.
But she wasn't completely right. Some of them were in fact booing Seb as well. She understood that his win after win could bore fans. But it wasn't his fault that he could clinch victories and they had to respect him.
She was suddenly sad to think about it and it didn't go unnoticed by Seb. He knew that she was upset with the thought of him being booed by people. "It's okay, Cla. You don't have to think about it."
"Don't you feel hurt when you hear that?"
"I'd be lying if I said no. It does hurt me a little, considering there are many processes I have to go through before I successfully win a race. It isn't an instant thing. But, knowing that you, my family, the team and also fans always support me, it is more than enough."
"People who are booing at you just don't understand that you have become one of the greatest F1 drivers in history."
"I agree with you," Heikki said surely.
"Thanks, Cla. Your support means a lot to me."
Clara decided to end that talk and tried to change the topic. She told Seb and Heikki that she also loved Italy and she would love to explore more of the country when she had free time. Her boyfriend also said more or less the same thing. It was just that he wanted to use a Vespa to explore some interesting cities there.
---
The times went very fast until Clara almost didn't realize that they had reached the race day. She thought to herself that she was probably enjoying her days there too much.
Sunday morning, it looked brighter compared to the previous day. When she was preparing her stuff in her hotel room, she was imagining if Seb won the race that day. He was always a little emotional when he was on the podium at Monza.
