The door let out a loud, resonating, creak. Levy dried her tears quickly and stood up, facing the door.

"It's a good thing they don't have locks on these doors. Or else you never would've let me in, am I right?" The blonde spoke, a weak smile on her face.

"Why..?" Levy asked, thoroughly confused by Lucy's sudden appearance, "Why are you here?" But her question was ignored.

"You know why they don't have locks?" Lucy paused, not really expecting an answer, "So that you guys won't lock yourself in here and try to hurt yourself." She wasn't finished yet, getting a crazy look on her face, she continued, "But you want to know something crazy!? You do, don't you? They actually lock some of us 'dangerous' patients up, and you know why? Because they're scared!" She started cackling, "Crazy right?!" She sighed, walking towards the bluenette.

"You aren't suppose to be here." Levy informed, but Lucy was fully aware of that.

"Oh I know, but I don't really care." She smiled, "What are they gonna do? Put me on the third floor?" She laughed, trying to make a joke.

"Eh-"

"Oh yeah!" Lucy's eyes seemed to light up, "So my friend was wondering what the new kid's like? You know anything?"

"If I did why should I tell you?" Levy seemed to become more serious than she was before, she held a stern look en her eyes. Lucy seemed taken aback by this, but smiled slightly anyways.

"We're not that different, you know?" She clarified, "Both misunderstood..." Her eyes softened, looking almost sad, "You know I'm not even allowed to go to group counseling yet. Apparently nobody feels comfortable around me, so I have free time instead."

Levy was surprised, she had never seen this side of Lucy before. She almost seems normal... Levy thought. Her eyes widened, what was she thinking, does that mean I don't even think of her as normal...what kind of monster have I become?

I've always hated the people who have treated me differently. And yet here I am, claiming that Lucy is somehow different than I am, that she's strange. Levy was disappointed in herself. But, it wasn't only her, she realized, none of her friends showed any signs of friendliness towards the blonde either. Instead they left her alone, out of fear. The same fear that everyone felt towards them before they came to Fairy Tail.

When they came to Fairy Tail, they felt at home. Everyone understood one another, or at least that's how Levy felt most of the time. So she thought that everyone felt like that, but that's just not true..is it?

Levy was so deep in thought she didn't even realize she was crying until Lucy started to worry.

"Levy? Are you okay?" She put a hand on the bluenette's shoulder.

"I'm such a horrible person." She shook her head, raising her hands to wipe away the tears.

"Wha-? Levy what are you talking about?" Lucy blinked, very confused.

"The way we've treated you- the way I've treated you..." Levy continued, looking up at Lucy again, "It's just like how I was treated..." She mumbled, but loud enough for Lucy to hear, "and you never did anything to deserve that."

Lucy's eyes widened, nobody had ever said that to her. She had always wanted someone to accept her, to be nice to her in even the smallest of ways. She started to cry, but it wasn't of sadness, she was just so happy.

Levy decided that she would never treat Lucy, or anyone else, that way again. She and Lucy actually did have a lot of things in common, she realized, the two of them both felt like they weren't understood at all, even by those close to them. They also both enjoy reading.

"Hey Levy?" Lucy questioned. It had been a while, and it was almost time for lights out. They had spent that last couple hours talking together about the most random things, from there favorite flavor gumdrop to what they like doing in their free time.

"Yeah?"

"Could we maybe, be friends?"

"Of course we can!"

So Levy and Lucy just became friends, which is what I wanted to happen first. Sorry if you wanted her to meet Natsu first, but NaLu will hopefully be coming soon (if I ever decide to update)

I'm really bad at updating regularly, and I'm sooo sorry that it's been forever. I started this story in what, September, and I only have five chapters so far! Feel free to keep yelling at me, I deserve it.

Thanks so much for continuing to read this, even though it sucks and I never update it.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
