Chapter 6 : April 23rd

I sit there in silence as I await her answer.

"Yes" She says.

I'm so happy.

--Earlier--

Shawn and I are talking again. We don't have a hatred or a grudge against each other or anything...thank god. I wake up and rub my eyes. I yawn and look in the mirror to see my nappy hair. I run my hands through my hair and I say "It's going to happen. She's gonna say yes." I button my shirt and I thought of her. I smiled. She's perfect.

I arrive at school and see her. I can't stop looking at her. She's so beautiful. I shake my head to focus myself once again. I walk to class and try to focus on school but...I can't. I'm in love~

After my final class I hear the bell ring and i'm relieved. I walk out of class and I remember what i'm going to do. I get butterflies in my stomach as I picture me asking her and she says "No." My heartbeat picks up as I see her at the place where I usually get picked up. Today was perfect. It was neither hot, nor cold, the only sound I could hear was the ruffling of leaves in the background.

I look at my watch and it reads 2:09. Shoot, she leaves at 2:15. Earlier I texted her if I could talk to her in sixth period. I walked up to her and she remembered that I wanted to talk to Caylani and I pull her over to the grass and sit her down. We both sit with our legs crossed. I look at her hands and hold them in mine. I see her look down and blush. "Everything's going as planned." I say to myself.

I then look at her and she looks at me. We're now looking each other in the eyes. I look and say:

"Caylani, I've liked you for a while now and...

I've fallen deeply in love with you.

Caylani Dillion... Will you be my girlfriend?"

I sit there in silence as I await her answer.

"Yes" She says.

I'm so happy.

I'm ecstatic and it's so hard to keep in my screams, but I kept them in.
