It was already 4 am and you still haven't slept. No matter how hard you tried to sleep, it never came to you. Thousands of things went through your mind but the one that bothered you most was Jeff. You had survived and he had kissed you... and he tried to carve a smile on your face? What was that supposed to mean?
Sick of lying around you decided to search more about this Jeff guy. You opened your laptop and read different articles about him. He was known to kill his victims in their houses at night. In one of the articles it stated that his real name was Jeffrey Blalock who went crazy after getting burned by bullies and murdered his family. In another article, his real name was Jeffrey Woods. The facts changed from one article to another and you realized that people really knew so little of him. He was truly mysterious.
You closed your laptop and shut your eyes. You didn't want to go to school tomorrow. You needed time to clear your mind. Plus, you didn't want to get bullied again.
You had no idea how much time had passed until you finally fell asleep.
BEEEP BEEP BEEP
"Urgh" you grunted as you reached for your alarm clock to shut it silent. You felt like shit.
It was 7 am. You barely even slept for two hours. You made up your mind and decided not to go to school today. It wasn't worth going today anyways. You would just tell your father you felt sick and ask him to sign your excuse letter.
The rest of the day was spent sleeping and no one disturbed you. You messaged your father that you would come over later this afternoon and he was fine with that.
After sleeping the whole day, you felt a little less shitty and decided to leave for your father's house before it would get dark. Father's house... It used to be your home before your father met that insolent stupid slut. You used to live there with him and mom, happy like any other family... but that was all over. Dead memories. Never would they come back again. Now you just lived all by yourself in a small apartment, where serial killers could easily break in but your father had most probably never thought of that. Oh well, at least it was relatively close to your school.
It would take around half an hour to reach your former home. You decided to hurry so you could go back to bed earlier.
Jeff's POV
It was already night time. For some reason I craved to see her again. I craved to witness her smile. I wanted to see her again so fucking badly, it was burning my mind.
I went to her apartment but she wasn't there. It was already past nine o'clock. Where could she be? I waited for some time but she still didn't show up. Maybe she was hiding here somewhere? I looked everywhere around in her apartment but realization hit me. She wasn't here. I couldn't sense her anywhere. Where the fuck was she?
Could it be... that she was afraid of me? Was she sleeping over somewhere else? No, it couldn't.. I couldn't forget her pretty (e/c) eyes. They had no fear in them. But where was she this late? Could she... be having a dinner date with some guy? If there was someone else making her smile before I get the chance to then I would butcher him so bad, no one will recognize his disgusting corpse.
I searched around her stuff, her shampoos, her clothes and her panties. She owned a laptop and I decided to snoop around in it. Maybe I could get some information about her. I browsed through her documents and pictures. Maybe I could even find some nudes of her. I was disappointed not to find any but relieved that she didn't have pictures of her with another guy.
I browsed through her history. Seems like she had done some research about me. It looks like she got curious about me. Good, that would make two of us. She had read several articles that were about "Jeff the killer". Silly press, think they know everything. Some day I would all make them go to sleep. I also browsed through her email (luckily she didn't log herself out) and found out that her mother died last week and she had only moved to this apartment very recently. I tried to find out where her former home was by spying on her father's messages. She said she was dropping by there today. Well, if that's where she was to be found then I would head there.
Your POV
You've waited for almost 4 hours for dad's new bitch to get home from "shopping". Seriously, who does night shopping? You were already hungry and wanted to go home since you could cook your own food, but your father insisted you'd eat dinner with them. It was a dreadful wait but at least you were able to watch your favorite movie on your old flat-screen TV. She came after what seemed like an eternity, hands full with shopping bags and began to cook a vegetarian meal. How disgusting.
"You know, you should be grateful I cooked for you." she bickered.
"Oh, yeah thank you for the disgusting food." You snapped back.
"Excuse me?"
"(n), please be nice to Joyce." Your father scolded you.
It wasn't a pleasant evening but at least you got your excuse letter signed. It was already past ten o'clock but maybe your father could drive you home. Or rather you hoped so.
"Umm dad? It's pretty late and I wondered if you could drive me home?" You asked him.
"I'm sorry darling, but I'm very tired from work." He answered. Your heart fell.
"Yeah, you're old enough to take care of yourself." Joyce bitched.
"Fine, whatever." Without saying goodbye you left the house and made your way to walk back home.
Fucking dad, fucking Joyce... You were cursing in your head. The streets were very dark and lonely. The area where you used to live in was a bit farther from the main city and had only few residents. You never really went out at night and when you did it was in the city where even the night was still bright. But walking at night in this area was so creepy... There were barely any houses and only the streetlights were lightening up your way.
You swore you heard noises from the dark and sped up your pace. You had a feeling that someone, or something watching you from behind. You turned to look back but didn't see anything. Fuck dad, did he even consider how dangerous it could be for a teenage girl to be out this late alone on the streets? Yeah, pff, what could possibly happen? He probably didn't know or more likely he didn't even care what was out there that could harm a lone teenage girl.
Suddenly, the street lights flickered and then turned off.
"Shit.."
Though you had lots of suicidal thoughts lately, you could live without these creepy events. The silence and darkness had nothing pleasant about them.
But the goosebumps really came as you heard a deadly growl from the dark.
