The cold floor beneath was a taunting factor that made the task of staying in bed that much easier.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy get up!" Auralain shrieked from behind my door, pleading for entrance.

"Honey, it's 7am. Why must you wake mommy up this early?" A slight groan escaped my lips, before I threw myself out of the bed. The cold hardwood floors sure to wake anyone up, a jolt of energy through my spine.

"Mommy! It's time to get up! Breakfast time, breakfast time!"

"Coming Aury," I opened the door, being attack by 2 little hands. A big bear hug was next in my future "What do you want for breakfast?"

"I want," a thinking face made it's way to her. "Mommy. I want chocolate chip pancakes, with whip cream, and chocolate syrup!"

"Dang honey, nothing to drink? Just all chocolate?"

"Yuppers, and I want freshly squeezed orange juice! Can Leanna and Riley come over and play after breakfast? Mommy, can Leanna and Riley come for breakfast and we can play after?" A pleading look filled her eyes, and a puppy dog face played it's self on to her face. And, I mean how could you not say yes to that face.

"Well, what do you say?"

"Umm, please? Please mommy can you make my special breakfast. And please can Leanna and Riley come over?"

"There you go honey, go wash up. And I will call Alice and ask."

"Hello, this is Alice Master. How can I help you?"

"Hey, Ally! It's Reagan, Aury wanted to know if Riley and Leanna could come over for breakfast and play afterwards. Until you get home from work?"

"Yeah, of course. They are at Abigail's, you would have to pick the up, but no problem. Tell Aury that I said hi, and I'll see her when I pick up the girls tonight!"

"Okay, great! Your good with them eating breakfast here right?"

"What is on the menu for breakfast?"

"Chocolate chip pancakes, with whip cream, and chocolate syrup. And freshly squeezed orange juice."

"Yeah, they might be a little hyper until lunch. But, that is completely fine."

"Okay, see you later. Bye."

"Bye"

"Aury!" I called from the kitchen. A short while later and she trotted down the stairs.

"Yes mommy?"

"Leanna and Riley can come over. But we have to go pick them up from Abigail's. So, we will go get the girls then we can all cook breakfast together. How does that sound?"

"That sounds good mommy. Can we go get them now?"

A simple nod of the head and Aury was already out the door with her sipy cup in hand. Walking back into the kitchen, grabbing my purse and keys-I jog to the front door, walking out, closing and locking it when I am completely out of the house.

"Aury," I call semi-loudly "Get out of the middle of the street! It's dangerous, and I want to keep my baby safe." A soft chuckle left my lips, as I shook my head side to side.

"But, mommy! There was a puppy and I wanted to get it. I'm coming." Right as Aury got out of the street, 3 cars drove by, way of the speed limit.

Arriving at Abigail's not even 15 minutes later, Aury was first to jump out of the car. Running to the door, but not before tripping and falling on the concrete.

"Mommy!" A soft cry made it's way to my ears. The soft made my heart hurt, my baby girl was hurt.

"Oh, baby. Mommy's coming!" The mother in me came alive, soon enough I was by her side. Looking at her boo-boo's, a skinned knee, and scraped hand.

"Mommy, it hurts. Make it better, please?"

"I know honey, I know. Mommy will make it better. Can you walk to the door with mommy like a big girl and ask Abigail for a first aid kit?" A smile slid across her face.

"Yes, mommy! When you make it better, can we go home and make breakfast?"

"Of course." I pick her up, minding where she was hurt and walked carefully to Abigail's door. 2 knocks and I was greeted by Leanna.
