Now we have YMCMB Drake and people are wondering what he's got after So Far Gone? Well, he doesn't have an album for us ... yet. I mean, So Far Gone was a mixtape that was definitely worthy of being called an album. So instead of releasing an album, Drake rides that rockstar wave with Lil Wayne and release a ton of singles & features to many tracks.

Now, before people start to rip on Birdman, he's very smart and a lot smarter than most people would give him credit for. He's the type of person who will sign an artist and hold them back which is primarily the reason I disliked him for such a long time (and artists tend to leave his label because of this, but that's another story). BUUUUUUUT ... he gave drake tons of freedom, and over the years it went on to upset other artists on the label such as: Tyga, Bow Wow, Bustah Rhymes, GuddaGudda, Euro, and a few others.
This really had no bearing on Nicki Minajor Lil Wayne, both of which were frequent collaborators with Drake. In fact, it's probably only the three of these artists you will catch Birdman in the background of music videos lurking and rubbing his hands (cause he be gettin that $$$$$$$).

Drake was becoming the king of hooks and choruses. They were always infectious and the new wave of sing rapping was becoming a lane of hiphop that Drake was making successful for himself.

As of recently, the internet has rode this wave of DJ Khaled memes but to be fair he's not a complete klutz. He's in the industry not as a rapper... But as a point of connect for artists and producers to collaborate on music with each other. Producers send him beats, he finds the artists for those beats.
