Chapter 12: Here It's Me And You, Nothing Else

Xavier parked the car in the garage around 10 in the evening, the ride from the restaurant was a good twenty to thirty minutes with the slow drive he did.

I turned to the backseat and a small smile grazed my lips as I saw Kelsey cuddling the small cushion, deep in slumber, "Look who's tired" I whispered to myself.

I felt Xavier shuffled, "I'll tuck her in, I have some sweats if you want to change"

He took the key from the ignition, before Xavi even open the door, I spoke, "I could use the bathroom and then I'll call a cab or Benjamin to pick me up"

Morrison's face looked exhausted maybe because his day wasn't like rainbows and unicorns, "You should stay"

"I have work tomorrow, remember the proposal?" I eyed him.

With a sigh, Xavier shook his head, "Ay whatever. I'll take you tomorrow, I'm tired and hell all the other people are tired as sh*t so there isn't anything you can do but stay the night"

I know I should burst into my rantings but with Xavier's mood, who would dare?

Oh that's right.

I would.... I would dare.

"Lend your car, I'll drive myself home I guess." I hoped for his agreement.

Why do I need his opinion? Last time I checked, Dani does not do opinions. Maybe because this is what Xavier does to me.

His left hand raised to cup my cheek and slowly leaned in to give my frorehead a quick kiss, " No more questions or complaints, you'll stay babe"

He jogged to the backseat as I gave up, stepping out of the passenger side and following suit behind Xavier.

"The guest room is opposite Kelsey's" He voiced, walking past the pillars towards the front door.

"Let me" I helped as Xavier tried to unlock the wooden panel.

His hand grazed my fingers as I took the set of keys on his. His warmth radiated through me without my liking, not getting use to his hold on me.

With a good second, I broke the door free and enter we go. I locked it behind me while the man opened the lights.

It was quiet, the maids are long out of sight at their own quarters as we made our way up the long staircase.

"You sure of Cole hanging out with Kelsey?" he asked, sauntering through the hallways for the rooms.

Cole is a nice kid however with that green eyes and blonde hair, he is surely a heartbreaker. Though my mind tells me that Cole is a good friend. Not bad hanging out with him now right?

"Yeah. He is funny and cool" I stopped by the door frame, Xavier gently laying his daughter on her bed.

I saw his head bobbed up and down, muttering, "I don't know how to cope up when Kelsey gets older and have boyfriends"

I chuckled at his worry, who would think that Xavier doesn't like his daughter getting old?

Real life is crap. People would naturally grow up and leave. They always have been and they will always do.

But if someday I will be a mother, it also will scare me that one day I'll have to see my child have their own decisions and marry someone, I want them playful and loving cute little muffins, for as long as they can.

"You will go shotgun on them heartbreakers" I grinned, sashaying my way at the end of the bed where Xavier is kneeling down, untying the laces of the little one's shoes.
