All around me are trees.
I didn't expect to wake up in a forest. But the forest seems to have different parts all intertwining infinitely.
I look towards northwest and I see a place that just seems to be words. Tons of words. Floating around. Like clouds.
Then I turn around and see that there is a place that is just a whole bunch of cupboards used for files.
There are tons of weird things but the weirdest is the place that is east to me.
It just seemed to be black tar. Running down the walls never ending all building up but never ending. The tar was full of faces. Faces of people I knew. The tar had words in it too but you couldn't see it very well. It also seemed to have something crimson running through it?...Blood?
I stand there, perplexed and frightened at where I might be. Then I feel a shove. I scream a little bit, for it had surprised me. I turn around but I see nobody. Then I look down. There were two small creatures looking up at me.
They looked like....porcelain dolls. They had a head that were round, like bowling balls and then their bodies were just these round things, like a water melon. Their arms were nubs that stuck out and pointed at the end. Their legs were the same. They didn't have eyes. In the place where their eyes should have been one said dark and the other side light. They were both painted white and were shiny. They had stitches painted on where their mouths should be. Light had color on it's arms while dark had only shadings.
I wasn't sure whether they were beautiful and cute or if I should've gotten the hell out of there.
"Hello," they both said in unison. Their voices were high pitched. I couldn't spot a difference between their voices they were exactly the same. "We're your subconscious," they told me.
"My....subconscious?" I replied. I didn't think your subconscious was meetable.
"Yes. Your subconscious. We hold your hidden desires and we also help you make decisions. But the thing is that making decisions is hard for you. Because once we give you advice, you can't tell which is light and which is dark. So sometimes you choose the wrong one," they both were completely synchronized. I wouldn't be surprised if their hearts heated at the same rate. Wait, these creatures looked made of porcelain and apparently are my subconcious. I don't think they have hearts.
"Where....where am I? What is this place? If you two are my subconious than does this mean this is..."
"Your mind? Yes this is your mind. The forest of your mind. The part you live in everyday but dont notice you do because you're always just wandering, you're never able to see this place when you are awake and you hardly see it when sleeping. You can only truly experience it when you're in a coma type of state. And when you wake up you forget about everything!"
I stumbled back a bit and my eyes widened. This was my mind. All of it. Including the tarred area. The area that seemed sinister enough to be in the mind of a villain.
"Wh-why are you two here?"
"We're going to be your guides. We're going to show you every part of your mind. Because once you wake up you'll forget all of it but still have a slight subconscious memory of it. And having an understanding of your mind makes you more aware of things you should have been aware of since the start,"
I nodded my head to what they were saying but I just couldn't process it all. I can't believe this is my mind.
"Well you better start believing it, Willow,"
For a second I was taken aback as to the fact that they could hear me. Then I realized they are my subconscious. They hear everything.
"So where do I go to?..."
"How about we go to the Words from the Heavens, Earth, and Hell,"
"Wh-what's that?"
"Those are your thoughts Willow. This is every thought you've ever thought of conciously. Every desire, every disdain, it's here."
