Chapter 3: Fate?

As I was frustrating away that day at idagdag mo pa yung pagka upset ko sa paghahanap ng trabaho kasi puro rejection dahil gusto ng mga companies e may experience. How the hell am I going to get one if no one would hire me?!! Yung mga company naman na madali ako ma-hire ay BPO or in short call center. Last resort ko na kasi yun e. And I heard a lot about call centers. From what I've heard minsan minumura pa daw sila or tinatawag na moron or stupid ang they get to be cursed din. I don't like that kasi mahina ang loob ko kaya bilib din ako sa mga taong nagtatrabaho at tumatagal sa call center knowing all those facts, idagdag mo na yung night shift, di ko kaya yun kaya I salute them.

Anyway, so suddenly habang nag iisip ako kung pano ko ba ito isosolve or maybe mag improvise sa situation ko someone called me. An unknown number, I had to answer it. "Hello? Who is this?" ang sabi ko and he replied, "Hi, Good evening! My name is Mark from Global Power Energy Incorporated and I just want to invite you over for an interview tomorrow at 9 o'clock sharp. The position that we would like you to apply for is an Administrative position but we can offer you higher than your expected salary." "Of course! I'll come by tomorrow. Thank you so much!" ang sinagot ko and I also added, "Can you give me the address of your firm?" "Of course, I will send the address to you through a text message! See you tomorrow and good luck!" ang reply nya. Na-speechless ako actually kasi isa yun sa mga company na target ko. Kinabahan ako bigla pero at the same time na-excite ako. Ang ginawa ko nung gabi na iyon nagresearch ako about sa company para if ever na magtanong sila kung may idea ako sa company may alam ako. I'm sure na matutuwa sila nun.

The next day, maaga akong umalis ng apartment. I'm not really quite familiar sa place kung nasaan ang company nila so ginamit ko yung google map to help me and I came to the office naman and I was approximately an hour early. Mas prefer ko na dumating maaga din to settle down kasi at least di rattle ang feeling ko if ever. Since maaga ako I went to the wash room para mag re-touch. Pagdating ko sa wash room, ang unang nasabi ko sa isip ko, "Oh my god!" na parang napatigil ka bigla kasi once again nakita ko nanaman si mystery girl. I'm starting to think na pinagtatagpo talaga kami ng pagkakataon. She noticed me coming in so she smiled saakin. You know, typical naman yun e so I smiled back.

Kinakabahan ako sobra, parang lalabas yung puso ko sa dibdib ko, di ko alam pano ako magrereact para di ako magmukhang tanga. All I could think about nung time na yun is to talk to her so this crazy mouth of mine suddenly threw out some stupid words, "Hi! Good morning!" binati ko sya at sabi nya, "Good morning din!" and she added, "Applicant ka?" "Oo, actually mamaya pang around 9 ang interview." I replied, "Bakit ang aga mo naman? Mamaya pa palang 9 eh. Let me guess, galling ka sa malayo no?" She said, "Actually, mga one hour away from here ako I just want to settle down para di ako kabahan lalo. I prefer it that way." Di naman sya masungit nung kinausap ko, she was nice so she replied, "I see, is this your first job?" "Oo eh, target ko talaga itong company na ito kasi I heard a lot of good things and it intrigued me kaya nag decide ako mag apply. Ang maganda kasi they accept fresh graduates, mostly kasi they prefer those who has experience." Ang sabi ko. "Really? Nakakatuwa namang malaman na maganda pala ang feedback ng company sa labas and kaya naman nagha-hire ngayon ng fresh graduates kasi mas madali silang maka-absorb dahil mag ge-gain palang sila ng experience." Ang reply nya. Grabe, ang talino nya kausap natigilan ako. "Tama nga naman. By the way, from the looks of it, the way you said things, tenure ka na dito no?" and sabi ko, "Uhmm, magtu-two years palang naman. Sa HR ako actually." sagot nya at sabi ko naman, "I see. Kaya naman pala. Nga pala, parang nakita na kita before though." Dagdag ko pa, "Ikaw yung nabangga ko ata sa mall?" "Really? Naalala mo pa yun? Pero para ngang naaalala kita, tinulungan mo pa nga ata ako nun to pick up my things e. That's kind of you though." she said. "Well, of course I would kasi ako nakabangga sa'yo." I replied. "Right." She smiled and she looked at her watch and noticed it's already quarter to 9 and she added, "Oh! I have to go. Magpeprepare pa ako e. Nice to meet you though. Good luck sa interview mo!" "Thanks. Nice to meet you too!" I replied and then she went ahead na. That was super kilig though. Haha! I got to talk to her finally but another katangahan nanaman. I wasn't able to at least get her name but the good news is I know where she works so I better do something pretty amazing later sa interview. Kailangan ko matanggap dito sa company na ito.
