"FUCK!", Rachel yells as she nearly stumbles leaving the girl's washroom, with Christine and I in tow, naturally. We laugh our heads off as Rachel pauses for a moment and regains her footing.
"Yeah, you've definitely had way too much to drink!", Christine shouts over the music.
"Heck no! Stop me and I'll bite you", Rachel replies.
We laugh again as we make our way back to a table that Rachel has managed to secure for us in the VIP zone. The boys are pretty wasted as well judging from the smiles on their faces.
It's almost 2 in the morning and the heady mixture of alcohol and cigarette smoke plus the endless bass from the music is starting to take a toll on me. I can't seem to walk in a straight line and my head feels heavier on the left side than it is on the right.
"You girls alright?!", Daniel projects his voice over the bass.
"Yeah, Rachel just can't seem to stand up properly!", Christine laughs as she explains the earlier accident, mimicking Rachel's drunken body language and drawing more laughter from the boys.
Thomas and Tobias both nudge Daniel and give him a nod. He starts blushing - at least, I think he does, hard to tell with the strobe lights. Thomas whispers something in Christine's ear and they both smile and nod again. Tobias pulls me in closer and speaks into my ear, a little bit louder than usual.
"Daniel has a bit of a crush of Rachel. He's a shy guy so we're thinking of helping him out. You in?", he winks as he grabs my hand. His breath smells like alcohol right now and I'm pretty sure mine does too.
I nod and smile at the gang.
Suddenly, Christine grabs Rachel's arms and lifts her to her feet. The boys do the same to Daniel. I lag behind momentarily before jumping up and helping Christine.
"What are we doing?!", I yell in her direction.
"We're gonna' trap them inside one of the bathroom stalls and get them to make out!", she yells back.
Before we knew it, we were halfway across the dancefloor, pushing through a massive crowd. The stench of alcohol, sweat and cheap deodorant makes me light-headed. Rachel and Daniel are both too drunk to resist. I get the feeling that Rachel sort of, kind of, wants this to happen. Daniel, on the other hand, is laughing non-stop as the guys pin him down and hustle him across the dancefloor.
We make our way to the ladies', seeing as how it might be risky for Rachel to be the only girl trapped inside the boys' room, considering the situation and the amount of drunk men who might stumble upon them.
"The fuck guys! Stop it!", Daniel limply thrashes about before Thomas swings him into the stall, followed by a stumbling, laughing Rachel. The last thing any of us saw was Daniel helping Rachel to her feet as they both stumble down on top of each other, smiling. The other girls in the washroom were too drunk to even bother to notice our antics.
As we plopped down into our seats again, the boys get busy with downing multiple shots while Christine drags me to the dancefloor. A remix of M83's 'Midnight City' rocks the club.

So far, so good. I check my phone for the time - 4.14am. We're outside the club. Thomas still relatively sober - he can really drink, Tobias has difficulty standing up, Christine is sitting on the pavement with her head buried in her lap, Daniel and Rachel are busy exploring each others' mouths with their tongues. I realize I'm staring at them, jaw slightly hanging loose. I want to go over to Christine to check on her but my legs said 'No'. I'm too tired to argue so I listen to them and remain planted in one spot.
