"Run Nikolai!"

Dimitri yelled at me telling me to run faster from the monster. It was the monster from my dreams, the monster that haunted me. It was real. How? How did it chase us?

"Nikolai snap out of it!"

Dimitri had been nice to me. When they left me here he found me under a hospital bed. He took care of me, making sure I hadn't been traumatized. The monster still chased us, through the carnival, the city. My lungs felt as if I had swallowed lava, been trapped in a room with no air. The monster stopped following us. We had only one opportunity hide so we did. We hid in the nuclear factory. After about 30 minutes, we heard it again. That was it, it had been its resting place. We wondered why the plant.

"Wait, it was created here, how though?" Dimitri whispered under his breath.

It snarled . It could hear us, we were already dead.

"Run Nikolai, always run"

He handed me his pistol, then Dimitri ran out to distract the 'it'. I started to run and I looked back. I saw Dimitri getting thrown by its teeth. He's was dead, swallowed by the monster. I looked forward again with tears in my eyes, I ran out of the plant with the monster bursted out of it, causing a gaping hole in the front.

"Subject 1G deceased."

The monster fell behind, and I ran into the hospital. This is where my family left me behind. My mother, Claudia, my father, Abram, my sister, Alina, and brother Kuzma. I took the stairs to the infirmary. Once I got there I found a torchlight, I turned it on and saw countless dead bodies. I couldn't take it, I broke down, because I found my family. There souls abandoned from there bodies. I flopped to my knees and balled up. The monster was trying to bust in.

"STOP IT!" I went over my my family's corpses and closed their eyes, and I started to sing the lullaby my mother sang to me when I was a small boy while the monster was breaking in.

A gentle breeze from Hushabye Mountain
Softly blows o'er Lullaby Bay
It Fills the sails of boats that are waiting
Waiting to sail your worries away

It isn't far to Hushabye Mountain
And your boat waits down by the quay
The winds of night so softly are sighing
Soon they will fly your troubles to the sea

So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain
Wave good...bye to cares of the day
And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain
Sail far away from Lullaby Bay.

I heard the monster break in through the door. I ran and didn't look back thinking of my family. What happened to them, could this have been my fault for being ill. I slowed down and walked into the morgue. The smell of corpses rotting from the inside out.

"Subject 2T working well with surroundings, status, alive heartbeat at 96 bpm."

The monster was getting closer, and I weaker. I took the stairs down to the lobby and ran out. The monster followed. The carnival was still in town at the time I headed there. The mirror room, I knew it would've followed me in. I used it to my advantage.

It quickly leaped in once landing causing a small rupture. I hid in between the mirrors, my x was on almost all mirrors, I knew it would be confused, my part was just being brave. I knew I had to brave, for me, my mother, father, and siblings, for their death to not be in vein. Standing up to your fears is not brave, standing up to what made innocent people coward, that is brave. It's spit was close to acid. Slowly melting through the ground when it drooled for my flesh. The monster passed by me, in a stupor not knowing which was real. I couldn't have ran out either, it would see my reflections moving. After almost thirty minuets it walked out, but I had to wait. Once I thought it was clear I walked out. The only thing in my head was to hide again, but I knew I had to kill it.

I knew screaming for help would be useless. No one comes to help. Help is never there, when you need it; it is a useless word, and a waste of breath. People don't want to help, they are to selfish of themselves.

I ran to a the local radio station to try and signal someone. The monster is nowhere in my line of sight. The door was barricaded, I had three choices at that point. Either risk shooting the door down, break the window causing noise, or not even try. I broke the glass, the monster most likely heard it. When I entered there was a dead body on the radio, and the corpse had dark blood pouring out the man. The man had to have died recently, but when? I had to shove him out of the way and closed his eyes. The radio looked like it still worked but the signal was jammed. I started heading to the roof, when I hear a growl the growl of terror, 'it'. I started to sprint to the roof. I climbed to the roof via a latch in attic. When it opens a big rush of cold air stuck against me. I pushed myself up to the gravel top. The tower was very tall, but skinny and couldn't handle much, it was most likely 135 feet in the air. I started to climb, the rails being several feet away causing me to jump. The rails are rusted, thy were falling off and I know it could hear them. I looked over the side and saw a shadow move. Rushing to get to the top I slipped causing more noise; it heard. I reached the top, it was climbing towards me. I pulled Dimitri's gun out remembering his words.

"Run Nikolai, always run."

I shoot the gun, and it doesn't it work. I fired all the bullets. I was hopeless, I couldn't scream for help, only the help of death.

"Дорогий Господь , все, що відбувається я радий . Моя сім'я пішла, я піду. до побачення" (Dear Lord, whatever happens i am happy. My family is gone, i am gone. goodbye)

I jump, am am free. I am okay.

"Subject 2T Deceased by suicide,"

"Such a shame, I had high hopes for him. Oh well bring the others up."
