I feel sometimes like I'm fading away
Like I'm sleepwalking through a dream each day
A candle flickering with dying flame
Or trapped inside a virtual reality game
My heart starts racing, my body goes numb
And out of blue, I'm not sure where it comes from
The walls draw closer and inside I'm on fire
I want to scream and to escape is what I desire
It's hard to breathe and the air is stale
My body feels weak and my mind is frail
Sleep feels like an escape from the pain
