Please don't be in love with someone else
Stuart was beside me all the time.
He clung on to me like glue and it bothered me. A lot. Considering he's more nervous that I was.
"Stu, it's okay, I can handle it." I assured him, while we watched the Chinese guys with shades and a moustache make their way towards us. They had an agent's uniform: black suites with shades and an earpiece.
We were having our dinner in the Veni Victoria Gardens. It was a damp evening with cold chilly air, but our stomachs were warmed from the tea that we drank and the noodles we ate. We were also waiting for the fireworks to blow off; when we saw the Chinese guys approach our table, telling us that we needed to talk to seal the deal.
"Just the girl, please" one of them blocked Stu when he tried to get to me.
"Hey! I'm her guardian here" he reasoned.
"This is no kidnapping Mr. Sung, we just want her only to make sure there'll be no biases in this deal."
"She's selling you the company, what other bias can there still be?" he raised his voice, but I motioned for him to keep his cool.
"It's alright Stu. Mom and Dad trust me." I said, then one of them offered their hand. Cautiously, I took it, then they led me to the office where I would be signing the paper.
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
I breathe and tried to relax myself.
Please don't be in love with someone else
I held her hand. But she didn't know it was me.
I held it like I was holding something fragile, careful not to break it.
Then I told myself I'll break into a run with her. I'll do it.. But it wasn't the time to be doing so.
I want to know if it was true if they really were selling the company to these Chinese guys. I only disguised myself as one of them. And are we really getting all the money they got from us?
Then we reached our destination that was the size of a ballroom with a large crystal chandelier hanging in the middle of the room.
Under it was a Chinese woman and a Chinese man, sitting on their chairs. There was a coffee table with papers ready to be signed, they were waiting for Danessa.
"Ms. Alderich?" the husband spoke.
"Yes sir." Danessa nodded.
"Please sign here" they motioned for her to come to them. Danessa let go of my hand, but I find it hard to do so.
She walked casually towards them, the light of the crystal chandelier danced around her. Her white dress was completely colored by the spectrum that was refracted from the crystals. She's different now. More confident, She wasn't slouching at the moment, but she held her head high and her eyes were actually smiling.
I'm guessing she's happy to leave now.
Danessa signed the papers and shook hands with the Chinese couple. "Pleasure doing business with you. We'll send the money over to the Bregueros a total of 189 billion Euros."
