"Luke! Would you stop --"

"Anakin, how many times do I have to tell you to be quiet? You're too loud for the baby," Padmé said softly, kissing her youngest daughter's forehead.

Anakin just shook his head and sat down beside Padmé, lacing his arm around her shoulders and looking down at his new baby girl. "Sorry. I'm just not used to it," he said. He kissed Padmé's temple, mumbling, "I'm sorry."

"Uh-huh. Don't try to butt-kiss me now, young man. It's too late."

Anakin tried staying serious, but he started to smirk, making Padmé smile too. Pretty soon, they were laughing together, all as a result of Padmé's remark, which was supposed to be serious.

Padmé snorted, which made them laugh even more.

When their laughing finally came to a wind-down point, Padmé sighed, "Okay, okay. Now I'm being too loud for her." She let out another chuckle and covered her mouth, smiling.

"You're so cute," Anakin whispered in her ear, kissing her cheek. She smiled and held the baby out to Anakin. "Do you want to hold her?"

He smiled, gladly accepting the baby, taking her in his arms and cradling her. "Hey, Layla May Skywalker. I'm so proud to be your Daddy."
