*Catherine's pov*
Five days had passed since I had auditioned. I was eating breakfast when the familiar ringtone of "Who says" began flooding the house. I ran to the phone and picked it up. My eyes widened when I saw that it was the director of the movie. I pressed the green button. "Hello is this Mrs. Vonderhaar."
'Yes sir it is."
"I am pleased to announce that you have made the callbacks. This afternoon at two you have to perform two more songs and then we'll decide if we will cast you."
"Ok thank you so much."
"My pleasure."
**two days later**
Two days after the director called me I had to be at the studio to do the callbacks. I rushed to get dressed and eat breakfast. I made myself a yogurt parfait. Five minutes later, I ran out the door to my red eclipse.
I opened the door and got in. Before I started the car I plugged in my iPod and searched for the sing that I wax going to re audition with. I also was going to try out by using the lines from the movie. The song I was going to re try out with was "goodbye" by Avril Lavigne.
This song was so sad. But I knew it would highlight my voice. It would bring out the things I could do as a singer. I also hoped that Selena would like it. My biggest dream was to be friends with her. At every stoplight I looked in the mirror and told myself I could do this. I could be cast as the little sister. I had to convince myself I was capable.
*Selena's pov*
I was in the studio. Catherine should be arriving soon. The only three characters that had been cast in the movie was me the big sister. My mom was Marie canals Barrera. My dad was Robert Downey Jr. Surprisingly this wasn't a Disney movie. This was my first non Disney movie.
*Catherine's pov*
I nervously held my breath as I walked in the studio. I opened the door and saw Selena sitting down waiting for me. She turned and looked at me. Then surprisingly she smiled. I just wished I would please her.
*Selena's pov*
Catherine stepped into the middle of the floor and waited to start singing. I could tell by the soft notes of the song, that she would be singing "Goodbye" by Avril Lavigne. Within the first notes of the song she began to sing
"Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye my love
I can't hide, can't hide, can't hide what has come." As she sang this she started to get a little emotional. It was good but I could tell that this song reminded her of something.
*Catherine's pov*
" Goodbye brown eyes
Goodbye for now
Goodbye sunshine
Take care of yourself." As I sang these lyrics I began to cry. I was reminded of my ex boyfriend Nathan. Also Nathan just happened to have brown eyes. I continued singing the song. After I was done I quietly calmed myself down. Selena politely told me that they would call me and let me know if I had made it in later tonight.
