Hey guys.. I decided to start to write this story on here. Originally it was a role-play creation of mine and a friends. But for me it seemed to end too quickly, and because of how much I enjoyed it, I wanted to write it up.
Enjoy! ^^

Chapter one: Welcome to... Loudwater
Naoki's P.O.V.
The day was pretty quiet, the only sound that passed through the car was that of the radio and the sound of the car itself. I turned my head to look towards the back seats of the car. There, directly in the middle sat my 'apprentice' Nana.
"Nana.. You alright back there?" I asked towards her, in attempt to, one break the silence, and two check up on her.
Nana was just quietly reading.. Again.. It's what she always seemed to do, and enjoy. Not that I can complain.
Her eyes slowly drifted up from the page, falling slightly above her glasses that had slid down her nose ever so slightly. The expression on her face didn't look terribly pleased to be interrupted by my question. Without a reply her eyes traveled back down to the page before she spoke.
"I'm perfectly fine.. Just concentrate on driving.. " Her light voice traveled and met my ears. Despite her words, there was nothing aggressive or spiteful about her tone, it was just soft as usual.
"Right.. We're nearly at Loudwater now.. Are you ready?" I answered in reply, but nothing was said in response to my question, just the sound of a page turning. A sigh then left my lips as I continued to concentrate on my driving.
Loudwater, is the small town me and Nana were going to investigate. The two of us work as detectives and are looking into the past case of this town. Although she's only working as my 'apprentice' and so.. I guess she hasn't grown that use to me yet.
The case we are looking into is the mass suicide of the entire town that occurred around one hundred years ago. It is said that the waterfall that runs behind the church, that it's known for, hence the name, suddenly stopped running and the river below ran still. Apparently after this the whole town was said to have died by suicide.. Once the town lay still, the water flowed once more... Though to me it seems a little unbelievable.. However, the death of the whole town is proved to be completely true.
Pretty soon we began to arrive in the town of Loudwater. The town lay on a very steep slope and had one large road that ran straight through the centre. Either side of the road small buildings, shops and inns were dotted around. Ever since the incident the place had been repopulated and become some what of a tourist attraction... Apparently.
I slowly drove the car up the steep slope and pulled onto the side next to where the main inn of the town was. With the same movements I turned to look back at Nana.
"Well we're here.." I announced in no specific out burst of emotion. Her simple response was the closing of her book as she undid her seat belt. With this obvious understanding of the situation I proceeded to get out of the car, throwing the heavy door closed. Once out the car, I then opened and held Nana's door for her. She gently slipped out, bowing in thanks and walking towards the inn, her book still in hand. I closed the door gently after her and proceeded to lock it, this being certified by the flickering of the head lights.
For saying it wasn't too late, the town was pretty desolate. Not many people wondered the streets, and those that did looked like regulars, or people that lived there.
"Let's get a room Nana.. We'll rest for the night and investigate in the morning. We've had a long ride." I set out the plan to her and she nodded in agreement, pushing her glasses securely up onto her face. I smiled in response to her and began to head down a cobblestone path that lead towards the inn.
