I glare at her but she remains indifferent. Even while doing this all I can think is that Carter has kind of accepted me, and I wonder, what of his mate?

"What did you do, Julia? "I ask again and she rolls her eyes. The crowd slowly evaporates but we stay put.

"I didn't do anything. I swear, at least, not anything that could have made him do that." She frowns, "but, it is a good thing right? It shows that he accepts you, doesn't it? You should be happy." She says softly and I sigh and shake my head, of course I am happy, but, could it just be false happiness, he could still just make me leave with everyone else.

"I am, well, I just don't get it. How can you go from hating someone to suddenly willing to accept them all in one day? "She touches my shoulder softly." I mean, if this is real, that he accepts me. I don't think I can be what he wants me to be. "

"You have to try, you can't give up without giving it a shot." I purse my lips and nod my head knowing that she is right, "besides, I won't let you not try." I look at her to see her smirking. "That was one time. "They all start to laugh at me and we make our way out of the trial room, Amber then makes her way over to her mate who smiles, which makes him look friendlier.

I look up at the night sky, the moon seeming to call out to me, I look at my sister and my friends, laughing as they make their way to the pack house. Clyde turns to me and motions with his head towards the pack house.

"You coming? "I bit my lip feeling a pull towards the forest, the wind blows softly sending an intoxicating scent filtering through my nose. Carter.

"Uh...no, I'll see you guys later," he watches me for a moment before giving me a nod.

"Ok, be safe. "He smiled charmingly at me before turning back to Julia and throwing his arm over her shoulder and she growled. I smiled at them before turning into the dark, shifting into my gray furred wolf. I shake out my fur as the wind blows softly. My paws dig into the ground as I follow the one scent that drives me crazy, the pull was undeniable, my wolf was panting with excitement.

I ran, enjoying the feel of freedom, the sound of the leaves rustling soundlessly, the feel of the wind blowing into my face. I dodged a tree, letting out a barked laugh, exhilarating. I come to a stop, panting slightly, my chest puffs out as I spot him, sitting by himself near the lake, staring up at the sky. I step forward hesitantly, suddenly fearful, why did I come here again?

"I can hear you. "He said loud enough for me to hear. My wolf growls at me to reveal myself to him, in fact my wolf wanted nothing more that to run over to him and playfully attack him but I held him back as I let my tail tuck itself between my legs and my ears to flop down as I tried to look as innocent and as non-threatening as possible. He turned to me and frowned, tilting his head to the side, so adorable.
