As morning fell over New York, Damien woke up and found Lucy deep asleep on his chest.

Her skin glowed as the morning sun shined directly on to her, the golden waves of her hair shone gold and was as soft as silk.

Damien smiled at his sleeping wife and started to play with her silky, gold hair.

But little did Damien know that her vampire senses kicked in.

"I love you, Lucy Thorn. Wife of my soul, the girl who will always have my heart." He softly whispered in her shell like ear.

Lucy smiled as she heard what Damien had said.

"I love you too, Damien Thorn. Husband of my soul and the keeper of my heart." She gently whispered back.

As she woke, her eyes weren't the sparkly blue they once were, they was a blood red, she was in full mode as a vampire.

Damien looked at her with shock.

"Babe what has happened to you?" He asked.

"What you mean babe?" She answered.

"Look in the mirror then your see what I mean." Damien shuddered.

"Must be bad if you are shuddering." Lucy giggled as she walked up to the mirror and saw what Damien was talking about.

"Fuck!" She screamed.

"Babe?" Damien carefully went over to her.

"Stay away from me Damien, I don't want to hurt you." She responded as she shivered.

Damien held her as he saw her shiver.

"I know you won't hurt me, let me warm you up please I can't stand seeing you cold." He picked her up and placed her back in bed.

"That's how vampires are Damien we are meant to be cold." She sobbed in to him.

"I thought they didn't cry either." Damien chuckled.

"They don't not normally but I am so sick and tired of being one. It's a curse, we can't age, we never get to look old, where as I saw everyone I love die." She cried.

Damien held her tightly as she cried, he had never seen her like this, her defenceless and vulnerable side.

"Babe, how do you get rid of them eyes they are freaking me out." Damien moved her hair out of her eyes.

"I've just got to let it take it course. It normally lasts about a day so it isn't too bad." She sniffled.

"Wait......if your saying you never age how long have you been 21?" He questioned.

"If I was still human I would be 29." Lucy answered him.

"Oh my Satan." Damien slapped himself.

"Why?" She wondered.

"I'm 32 but I look younger." Damien replied.

"Your joking? I thought you was like 26."Lucy smiled.

Damien chucked.

"I wish." He smiled as Lucy snuggled in to him.

"I don't care how old you are. I love you always have and always will even when we are in hell together." She held him.

"That reminds me to ask you. How would someone kill you then?" He looked puzzled.

"Oh how sweet my own husband wants to kill me." She joked.

"Hell no way, Just asking because of the way Shaun and the priest tried." Damien ran his hand through his hair.

"Well first of all it's a blade to the heart. I survived because they only got me in the tummy and plus I had a blood top up." She smiled.

"So how did you heal me then?" Damien asked shyly.

"Well that's what vampires like me do if we truly love someone. If someone we give our heart to gets hurt we have a healing process for them that's how I healed you. Because your the one that owns my heart." Lucy sat up and kissed him.

Damien blushed and cuddled her.

"Anymore questions?" She looked at Damien.

"Um.....nope." Damien laughed.

"Good." Lucy smiled and got up.

"Wanna come hunting with me?" She asked Damien.

"Hunting?" He quizzed.

"Yeah, me looking for food aka blood." She responded as she put on a tight vest top and three quarter length leggings.

"Sure." Damien purred and grabbed her.

Lucy giggled as her husband chucked on t-shirt and jeans.

"If you wasn't my husband I would actually pounce on you right now." She purred and held Damien from behind.

"Oh I get it you only go for good looking men?" He joked.

"No I do not, I go for anyone that I think tastes sweet and you Damien do." She said with a hint of wit.

Damien could help himself as to laugh.

"Right, you ready?" She asked her clown of a husband who was on the bed in a laughing fit.

Lucy watched him and stood there.

"When your quite finished." She grew annoyed.

"I think I am." Damien managed to speak.

"Let's go." Lucy ran out door with Damien following.
