I decided to drive the Camaro to school today. You know give Lexi the wow factor. I had worked at a good paying job for about 3 years and put all the money towards buying my baby. I love the looks I get when I drive down the street.
I pulled into the parking lot to see only a few cars. I was in luck, one of them was Lexi's red Mustang. I pulled in right beside her and saw that she wasn't in her car. That means she must be in the gym waiting for morning announcements. I grabbed my messenger bag and slung it over my shoulder as I grabbed the handle to the front doors of the school. I jogged down the hallway to the entrance of the gym and peeked around the corner to see that there were only six or seven kids in there, including Lexi. I take a deep breath, smooth my clothes, and think good thoughts to myself. I turn the corner and lightly jog up the stairs to the top where Lexi was. I smile and give a small wave as I sit a few seats away from her.
"You know you can scoot closer. I'm not gonna give you an STD or anything," she said jokingly. Although she just may give me one if my plan works out. I scoot next to her feeling really awkward and nervous. "My name's Bailey, if you didn't know." I was trying to break the ice with her and loosen her up before I asked her anything.
"Oh, trust me I know. You are like one of the prettiest girls at this school," she said with a glint in her eye. Oh gosh! Oh my gosh. I need to calm down. Calm down I tell myself. But how can I calm down when I'm sitting next to the sexiest girl in school? Whew, just breathe. I decided I should ask her now and get it over with. I gathered up all of my courage and took a deep breath.
"Hey, um, Lexi? Can I ask you something?"
"Of course! What is it," she asked.
Okay, here goes just about everything. "Will you go out with me," I asked cringing in anticipation. She stared at me with a look of shock on her face. My heart just dropped all the way to my feet. I felt the tears coming after about a minute of her staring at me. "Forget it. I knew this was a bad idea. I'm so stupid!" I wiped at the tears which were now flowing freely down my face and pushed myself off the bleachers when I felt her grab my wrist. I look back at her to see her eyes shining. Dang, they were so freaking gorgeous!
"Bailey, I didn't know that you were gay," she said which made me pissed. I was not gay. I was bisexual. Big difference. I cool myself down remembering who I was talk to.
"Actually Lexi, I'm bi not gay. So will you go out with me," I ask again. I can't stand waiting this long for a simple answer. It seemed like I had been waiting an eternity when she finally said something.
"Bailey, do you love me," she whispered seductively into my ear. I couldn't speak. My voice was nowhere to be found. So I simply nodded. "Good," she said, "But do you want me," I heard her whisper as I felt her hand slide down to my spot. She rubbed lightly making a moan escape my smiling mouth. Oh man, this felt so good! "I'll take that as a yes then. So how about you pick me up at my house on Friday at 8:30?"
My heart rocketed sky high and I simply staed, "I think I can do that." Biting my lip trying to hold in my excitement, I walked down the bleachers and turned back to see her smiling at me. I ran straight down the hallway to my locker and laid my back against it. Running my hand through my hair, I did something I hadn't done in a long time. I laughed. And it felt... good.
