the only reason i took ava to the park was cause i wanted to hang out and get away from all the stress.

at home its just a disaster.

my mom left after finding out my dad had an afair and now my dad has resulted to drinking.

he gets so drunk that he comes home and takes his anger out on me and adam.

it hurts so bad but im trying to be strong for adam.

and at school i cant pay attention because im focused on the pain and trying to find a way for me and adam to get out of there.

the teachers keep yelling at me and i just get agravaited.

ava and mia dont know whats going on yet but im sure theyll find out soon.

"kody" harry asks.

oh darnit i spaced out again.

"the answers 42!" i yell.

i meantally slap myself.

"kody are you okay for the past week you seem kinda distant...you and adam" ava asked.

"what yea im fine" i say with a smile.

"um okay well i asked you a question whats that on your arm" harry asked.

i looked at my arm amd saw it had a bruise and was covered in scratches.

it was from last night dad came home drunk again and he grabed me and adam.

FLASHBACK

me and adam where in our room just laying there when we heard a door slam and then a loud voice yell.

" worthless no good for nothing kids!" dad yelled at me and adam as he walked into the room and dragged us by the ear to the bathroom.

he turned the shower on and then broke the glass mirror.

he shoved adam in the shower and scratched my arms with the broken glass.

i screamed in pain as adam screamed for him to stop.

"dad stop oww stop!!" i screamed.

"worthless brats!" he screamed as he grabbed my wrist and threw me in the shower with adam.

he grabed adam and a pieace of them broken glass and slid it down his arm.

"dad nooo" i screamed.

adam cried in pain.

i got oit of the shower and started fighting with him.

"dad stop!" me and adam screamed.

then he blacked out.

FLASHBACK OVER

i hadent realised i was crying until i felt wetness on my checks and i also didnt realise that i had said that out load.

oh-uh not good.

harry came over and picked me up and sat me on his lap.

he rubbed my back and tried to calm me down.

"kody even out your breathing please" he said calmly.

i nodded and calmed down.

"now kody look at me" harry said calmly.

i turned so that i was looking at him.

"i want the truth..are you and adam being abused" he asked looking me in the eye.

i nodded.

"when did it start" he asked.

"last week sometime" i mumbeled.

he nodded.

"do you know why" he asked.

i nodded

"he had an afair and my mom found out and she left" i mumbeled out.

he nodded again and just gave me a hug.

i cried onto his chest for a while.

liam left through the front door and came back later with mia and adam.

adam saw me and came over.

"kody its gonna be ok" he said as he gave me a hug.

i shook my head.

"how do you know that adam how can you be so sure hes just gonna keep doing it" i said.

harry set me down next to adam and had us stand infront of him.

"boys its not gonna happen again and you wanna know why im so sure" he asked.

i looked at adam and back at harry.

"why?" we said in unison.

"because youre not going back there" he said with a smile.

"huh" me and adam said.

"daddy what do you mean" mia asked.

"boys youre not going back there cause youre staying here" harry said.

"what?!" everyone asked.

he nodded and smiled.

"boys welcome to the family" harry said.

"uh but doesnt our dad have to agree" adam asked.

"yeah what about him" i asked still totally confused.

"your dad doesnt have to agree if child services has anything to do with it" harry said with a smile as he walked away.

uh what just happened i thought to myself.
