You do know what a "Teacher Work Day" is, right?
Just for those who don't know, it's a day where--ha ha!--the teachers have to work and all the students have a day off.
Now, for me, this would've been the best day of my life, but-- "Today is SO booooring!" Julie whined.
See? Julie--my happy-go-lucky sister--out of ALL people, is bored! That's a first.
"Why don't you find something to do, then?" Angel suggested.
Julie glared at her. "Find something to do? FIND something to do?! It is not that easy!"
"Wow, she must be really bored," I said. "Never seen her like this before."
Janelle, who hadn't said a word for like two hours, was sitting in the recliner, reading.
"How do you do that?" I asked her.
"Hm?" She wasn't paying attention. She looked up at me. "Oh, you mean read? I'm not sure. I just pick up a book, sit down, and...I sorta get lost in the book."
      "Wow. Is it that easy?"
Janelle nodded. "Well, kinda..."
"Do you have any other books I can read?" I asked excitedly.
"What about me?" Angel and Julie asked in unison.
Janelle rolled her eyes. "Go upstairs and look in the bookcase in my room...get yourself a book to read."
Wow, who knew reading could be so fun? Janelle's bookcase was filled with all kinds of books, but I finally settled on reading "Eggs" by Jerry Spinelli.
Julie picked out a book called "Counting By 7s" and Angel is reading a book called "Tentacles".
Today I have decided that I like reading.
