• Hey, y'all. Yeah, yeah, it's been so long, and I don't really have a valid reason. I just got lazy, tbh and I won't be updating much anytime soon, since bleh school. BUT ENJOY THIS ONE FOR A WHILE •

-Vanna-

"Wait. Sino nakita mo?" I mentally slapped my head sa pagka-slow ni Kiel. He just ruined the serious moment right there.

"Well, it's no one." I said, shrugging it off. He nodded. "Well, let's head back to your house. May emergency meeting daw 'yung parents natin. And they need us there." Sabi niya, as he started the engine.

"What for?" Baka may mabangga pa siya diyan mamaya or something.

"The engagement. I think." He said, as the car drove out of the parking lot. I just looked straight ahead, since wala na rin naman akong sasabihin.

. . .

"Good evening." Kiel and I greeted as we sat beside each other on the long dining table. Looks like we're talking all of these through dinner.

"Buti naman at nakarating kayo in time."

We simply nodded as response to her question. "Plano sana namin na by 20 niyo, ikasal na kayo, since ayaw din naman namin pataggalin 'yung engagement niyo." Dagdag pa ni mom.

"I thought, after college pa? Bakit naman napaaga?" I asked, as I put food in my mouth. "We're not getting any younger, so as much as possible, gusto rin naman naming maabutan 'yung magiging mga apo namin."

I legit choked on my food sa sinabi ni tita Olivia. Inabutan naman ako ni Kiel ng tubig. "Ma!" He warned.

Tinaas naman ni tita 'yung arms niya, like she was surrendering. "Just saying." I smiled at her, though this was an uncomfortable topic. "Okay ka lang?" Kiel whispered and I nodded my head.

"Mabilis na lang ang 1 month, so simula sa weekend, kailangan na nating maghanda para sa debut ni Vanna slash engagement party ninyo." Mom said while our dads stayed quiet.

We simply nodded. "Great! It's all settled then." Mom exclaimed, and excitement was clearly seen on her face.

Fastforward to Saturday

"Papunta na 'ko diyan." Kiel said through the phone. "Wala ka bang shooting ngayon? Busy schedule mo ah." Sabi ko as I checked myself on the mirror.

"Psh. They know my priorities, at isa 'to dun." He said, non-chalant. "By the way, nandito na 'ko sa gate niyo. I'll hang up." Then, the call ended.

One last fix with my hair and I'm all done. Tinignan ko ulit 'yung sarili ko sa full-sized mirror ko, and once I felt convinced that I was ready, I grabbed my pouch and headed down.

Nakita ko naman si Kiel doon, na nakaupo and when his eyes met mine, he stood up and enveloped me with a hug.

"You look amazing." He said, eyeing me. I was just wearing a red and black flannel - which is a size larger - over a black bandeau. And faded ripped denim pants. What's so amazing about that?

I just shook my head as we met up with our moms sa gate. "So, where do we go first?" I asked as we all got in the van.

"We're going to check the venue first, then we'll go find your attires." My mom said.

"Excited na 'ko." Sabi ni Kiel. He was sitting beside me, our moms in front. "Sa pupuntahan natin?" I asked, giggling.

"Nah. Sa mismong event next month." Sabi niya ng naka-ngisi. I playfully slapped his arm.

After a few minutes, nakarating na kami sa isang exclusive club house. Sa dami ng club house na napuntahan ko, I never get used to each of them.

It was plainly exquisite.

"Woah." I heard Kiel mutter beside me. "I know right." I said, still eyeing the venue.

Soon enough, our moms called our attentions to ask our opinions on such things for the party.

After doing so, pumunta na kami sa mall, and we went to an expensive-looking boutique. Well, of course, our moms being themselves.

Nung tapos na kami ni Kiel sa damit namin, we excused ourselves since magse-stay pa daw sila mom and tita Olivia to pick out their own stuff.

"Gutom ka na ba?" Kiel asked as we ended up on the food court. "Not really, but I could eat." He nodded, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

It wasn't easy, though. Tons of teenage girls were blocking our way, and asking Kiel for picture, and autographs. Nakangiti naman niyang ina-accomodate 'yung mga tao, which is good.

"Sorry po, but we have to get going." He politely said, snaking his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"Kiel, pa-picture naman, please. I'm like a huge fan." Ngumiti si Kiel, and smiled for the picture, samantalang ako, nakagilid ng konti para hindi maging epal.

I don't know why pero sinundan ko ng tingin 'yung huling babae na nagpa-picture sa kanya.

I don't know either if it was just my imagination, or totoo talaga 'tong nakikita ko. Apparently, she approached a very-familiar guy who was holding a child.

And just then, the guy looked at me, as well. I slightly gasped, breaking the eye contact.

Zeus.
