Years Later

The Classroom

I ignore all the stares as I make my way to my first hour. I have science first hour.

When I walk into the classroom I am the only one in there. I choose my seat in the middle of the room.

If I sit in the front then I would be called a "nerd". If I sit in the back then, well that is where the populars sit.

I take in deep breathes. The room slowly filled up.

"Welcome to class. My name is Ms. Smith."

She walked to the front of the room. She started talking about rules of the class. When she did I just zoned out.

I zoned back in when she started talking about our first project. She would pair us up with a partner and this week all we would is get to know each other than write a paper about them. We had to do this because they were going to be our lab partners for the rest of the year.

I look around the classroom to see who I might be paired up with. I look at the "nerds". I then realize that Nick was there.

Nick never stops looking at me. He has had this crush on me for who knows how long. I just don't like him.

Putting that aside I look else where in the room. Then I look at the populars. Then I see Jake. Omg omg! He is in my class!! Alright alright don't freak out it is all okay.

Our teacher, Ms. Smith, pairs Nick up with someone else that is "nerdy". Yay he won't be my partner!

All that is left is Jake and I, so I guess we are partners. Wrong! Ms. Smith told us that our first lab partners are not here so we have to be paired up with each other. Hey I was right!!

Ms. Smith tells us to get with our partners so I slowly walk over to Jake. At first we don't talk. Then I decide I should introduce myself.

"M-my name is H-Hailey"
