There I was, lying on the hard ground. I didn't know where I was or how I even got there, I just knew it wasn't home. I was hurting badly and scratches were on my arms, short thin cuts that looked like I used a knife. I had no idea how they got there. It was dark outside, almost black so it was hard to even see how many cuts I had. I cocked my head to the side and winced in pain. What the hell? I put my hand over the side of my neck and it started to burn, I quickly took my hand off my neck and examined my hand. I had blood on it? I was so confused and lost. I have no idea what happened to make my neck bleed.
My stuff was scattered around me. I searched for my purse because I had a mini flash light no bigger than a pocket knife, my mirror, and tissues. I'm sure all three of those things would help. I crawled around and started feeling the ground. All I felt was crumbled leaves and moist mud beneath me. It must have been raining. I stopped in my tracks, questions were running through my head. How long have I been out here? Where is exactly 'here'? How am I supposed to find my way out of, I'm guessing this forest? Am I going to starve? Will anyone find me? A noise from behind me knocked me out of my thoughts. It sounded like footsteps, leaves crumbling under shoes. I turned around quickly to see... no one. It must be my mind playing tricks on me.
I kept searching and searching until my hand landed on something that felt like cotton material. I picked it up, I had hope that it would be my purse, but of course not. It was a pile of drenched clothes? Why would someone's clothes be out here. I set the five shirts down and crawled over to a different section and what do you know, my purse was right in front of my own blue eyes.
I picked it up lightly, as everything else in this damn forest, it was wet. I got off my hands and knees and sat on my bum. I went through my purse searching for the mini flashlight. I felt it and pulled it out of my messy purse. I turned it on and shined it around me. Yup! It was a forest that I was in. I shined the light inside my purse. I saw something shaped as a rectangle and I squinted so I could see it clearly.
MY PHONE! I squealed. I grabbed it from my purse impatiently and turned it around to see the screen. The screen was black so I suspected I turned it off. I held in the button for five seconds or so and it didn't even turn on. It was still black. I thought for a moment; DEAD.
Tears rolled down my cold cheeks. Swoosh! A noise that startled me for a moment. And more footsteps were heard. I ignored it once again. I put my head in my hands and let more tears fall. My neck started burning and I winced in pain. It was still bleeding, and I remembered I had my tissues. I pulled them out of my bag and unwrapped the plastic that was holding them. I took about ten of them which was about half of them. I dabbed my arms then my neck. The sun started to rise which made me guess it was sometime in the morning. Since it was lighter outside I decided to grab the mirror out of my purse and open it.
I looked in the mirror viewing my neck and I gasped. What the hell? It looked like a bite. A vampire bite. Wow. Is this some kind of joke because this isn't funny. It may hurt but this cant be real! Vampires are just a myth! I kept looking into the mirror staring at it. It was bloody, and it had a bruise around it. Out of no where in the corner of my mirror I spotted dark shadows. Like 2,3,4, NO 5 of them! I wanted to turn around but I was scared. I looked back into the corner of the mirror and they vanished. They were gone. Not even a slight noise was heard. They were gone in a second. I turned around and saw.. Nothing!
I turned back around and jumped higher than Michael Jordan could. I was standing right in front of five figures. I could hardly see they're faces. The one standing the closest had dark curly hair. All of they're eyes glowed red. And they were all so pale that they're faces glowed along with they're eyes.
In a deep, low, husky British accent the one standing in front of me spoke. "Why so scared, princess?"
His voice sent shivers down my spine and made shake even more than I was. I spoke very lightly, "Y-you scared me."
He grabbed my wrist with a tight grip and I tried to tug away but I was no use. His grip was so strong. He moved my hair that covered up the horrendous bite, or whatever the hell it was. He smirked which made me even more confused than I was. Why was he smirking?
"You should be scared!" He said raising his voice a little higher than it was once again knocking me out of my thoughts.
I tried to back up but I couldn't do that either, so I stiffly stood there. He pulled my wrist up to his nose and he inhaled and his grin grew even wider. His eyes turned a darker shade of red and his teeth grew by the second. Were those... fangs? He opened his mouth and his teeth sunk into my skin which made me scream with pain! STOP, PLEASE, I cried. And the pain got worse and worse.
I jumped out of bed and sweat covered my whole body. That was the scariest dream ever. I think I keep watching 'Twilight' too many times. I laughed it off and got out of bed. I walked over to my bathroom and splashed cold water over my face. I decided I should take a shower. I shut the door and locked it. I took off my tank top and shorts, leaving me only in my matching undergarments.
I took off my bra and slipped off my panties and turned on the water, quickly getting warm. It turned just right and I stepped in the slippery tub. I let the water run down my body, forgetting about college, and my parents who went missing, but I assume dead by now, and even forgetting about my best friend Lydia.
I shampooed and conditioned my hair, and washed my body with my baby blue sponge. I quickly shaved my legs before I got out, why not? I finished everything and twisted the knobs to the right, turning off the water. The warmth the water gave me vanished and a cold breeze swept through the bathroom, sending chills down my spine. I wrapped a towel around my body, then one wrapping my hair into a bunch, keeping it from dripping on the tiled floor.
I walked out of the bathroom and I saw my front door wide open. That's weird. I walked across the living room and shut the door. I then walked back to my room wondering how long it had been opened. There goes my privacy. I always was scared of the apartment building I lived in. It was so dark, like no one else lived in here but me. I'm an eighteen year old girl named Annabelle Whittemore and I need to prove to people that I am not the little girl I used to be. I'm grown up and have been living on my own for a while now. I'm turning nineteen in two days and I need to be treated like a grown up, not a kid.

I finished getting ready. I walked into the living room and grabbed my bag, locked the door, and slammed it shut. I headed towards my blue Lamborghini and got in. I turned up the music and drove the thirty minutes it took to get there. I arrived at my college, and got out of my car and went to my first class; Chemistry.
I sat through the six and a half hours of school and we finally got dismissed. I practically ran through the crowd if people and got to my car and left as fast as I could so I wouldn't be stuck in much traffic.

It was already 7pm when I arrived back home, in my apartment. I decided I should sleep since I have work early tomorrow morning. I got into some Victoria Secret pajamas, and lied down in bed. I pulled the blanket over me and rested my head on my fluffy pillow. Sleep took over me and I was out as quick as blowing out candles on a birthday cake.
