"B-but I didn't do anything wrong! I swear!" Mr.Welson said. The cop looked at him. "I know, but we still have to take you in. I'm very sorry." The cops said as Mr.Welson was put into handcuffs. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you at government expense. Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explained them to you, are you willing to answer my questions without an attorney present?" One of the officers asked. Mr.Welson looked at the officer. He was terrified. "No, I would like to have a lawyer present." He said to them. "Okay then," the officer said to Mr.Welson as they walked to the squad car and Mr.Welson was put into the back. "Watch your head." The officer said to him. The ride to the police station was silent except for the occasional noise coming from the radio.
