Chapter 2: A new discovery

Hey guys im back! So thing is, my school blocked wattpad. So I was unable to write any stories. And that crushed my heart. But they fixed it! YAY! I love to write and I want everyone to spread the word of my stories. I really do try to make it the best I can. Just help me and try to spread my stories. I really don't care for fame or anything, I just want to know that other people enjoy and read my stories that take me a while to make and take my personal time. But I decided to write to all of you in my personal time. So enjoy!

~Aphmau POV~

I felt as if I was falling. Falling down an endless hole of darkness. Where did it go? Where did it start? How was I here? I tried to look around, but darkness soon surrounded my whole body. I struggled as I was unable to breathe or move.

I felt the floor slam up against my chest. I groaned at the sudden pain. I looked up at my bed. It was only two feet off the ground, but I didn't matter now. I pushed myself up from the ground to see light gleam through the windows. I looked around and saw Emmalyn was already gone. I could smell bacon in the air as I practically floated towards the plate of what I like to call, my breakfast. I poured maple syrup on my bacon and shoved them down. I quickly cleaned myself up before I walked outside for the new day.

"M' Lady Aphmau!" I turned around to see Zenix running up to me. "Oh Hi Zenix!" Zenix stopped in front of me and took a deep breath. "M' Lady Aphmau. Some one has come into town and requested to meet the lord." I was confused. Why was Zenix coming to me? "Do you know where Garroth is? He is the head Guard so he is the one in control of Phoenix Drop."

Well that explains it....

"I don't know where Garroth is, but I can help look for him. If you don't mind?" Zenix nodded in reply and we both set off to look for Garroth. I started to run toward the farms as I tried to find Garroth in the newly boosted crowd.

Where did these people come from? Hm....... Does it have to do with that one person?

I pushed through many people before I spotted a small hill. I quickly ran up to it and tried to peer over everything to see Garroth. "Who are you looking for Lady Aphmau?" I turned my head to see Garroth in a small lookout tower. He looked relaxed but was thinking about something, I just knew it. "Oh Hi Garroth. I was looking for you actually, Zenix said that there was someone in town looking for the lord of Phoenix Drop. But He said you were the Head Guard. And that makes YOU in charge of Phoenix Drop..... I'm confused." Garroth shook his head and motioned me into the look out building. I climbed up the ladders and leaned against the rail and was ready to listen.

"I know you only came here a few days ago. So I will explain as much as I can to you. Our old lord was a wonderful person. He cared for all of the villagers and people who stopped by to visit. Sadly, a while ago, our lord was assassinated by a Shadow Knight. He had a family and a Village to care for. *Ahem* Well the village went into panic and didn't listen to any of our guards. When you came, everyone started to calm down and listen to plans to find a new lord." That caught my attention.

I wonder.....

"Hey Garroth? I was wondering if I could become lord of Phoenix Drop." Garroth perked up and looked at me. "Oh lady Aphmau you don't have to do that. You have already done so much for the town like rebuilding the roads, moving the wells, and even started to build your own house by yourself. But you can become Lord of Phoenix Drop if you want.... I won't stop you. " I got giddie with excitement. I gave Garroth a hug and started down the ladders. "Oh and Garroth, remember. Someone here is looking for you." And with that I left and ran up the hill. I turned around and saw that I could see all of Phoenix Drop. Some trees were in the way so I gripped my axe and chopped them down. It took me a while but I soon had them all down and even saw another small forest area. But there was something there. I saw some cobblestone and some vines covering the roof of a small hut. I quickly ran down the hill, past the bushes with my axe in hand.
