                          *9 years ago*
                          "Don't forget about me!" I sobbed into Liam's shirt. He was my best friend and he was moving, why wouldn't I cry? 

                          "I promise, I won't." He cried back, attempting to comfort me.
                          "Pinky promise?" I looked up at him through my long eyelashes.
                          "Pinky promise." He confirmed looping his pinky with mine.
                          "I love you, Bree." He said through tears.
                          "I love you too, Liam." I replied sadly, tears streaming down my face.
                          "Liam," His mom Karen called out, "time to leave."
                          I wrapped my thin arms around him tighter and yelled "Don't go!"
                          "I have to, Bree." He said tightening his embrace.
                          "Forever and always?" I said curiously.
                          "Forever and always." Liam replied, giving me one last squeeze before walking to his mom's car.
                          I ran inside to my house, crawled under my covers, and sobbed the pain away.
