The Robinson family were moving into a new house to get away from their grimy, not so child-friendly neighborhood. This neighborhood had paved streets, cheery yellow houses just the right size, and no fallen mail boxes. Mrs. Robinson loved all of the activities in town that was only a ten minute drive away and Mr. Robinson loved the country club in the center of town. Lucy, one of two twin girls of age five, loved the forest behind their house to go exploring and Marie, the younger twin, loved the large library a short walk away. The eight-year-old boy, Kevin, loved all of his new school's many sport opportunities and of course the family golden retriever, Borris, loved the large backyard and the few parks and hiking trails scattered around the town. Where they moved was a very friendly place. Nothing was ever expected to be found, especially in their home.

Inside, the walls were white and free to be painted or covered with whatever the Robinsons pleased. The furniture was slightly dated but in good quality and so were the rugs in each room. The kitchen had nice wooden storage cabinets and a granite countertop with all of the necessities such as a stove, oven, microwave, sink, and dishwasher. A nice window with the view of the backyard even accompanied the sink. The dining room had a large wooden table where they could have large Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas parties with a set of 12 wooden chairs with thin cushions. In the living room, a 50-inch flat screen TV sat on top of dark wood stand with cabinets for a cable box, video game consoles, and DVDs and games. A half bathroom fit nicely under the stairs for guests to use when they came for get togethers. Up the slightly creaky wooden stairs, there were the bedrooms and another room that could be used for multiple purposes (workspace, playroom, etc.). Four bedrooms lined the hallway with two bathrooms in addition to the master suite. The master suite had a beautifully tiled shower and a hot tub-like bath tub. Two sinks and a separate closet size room for the toilet fit perfectly in the rest of the bathroom space.

Kevin, Lucy, and Marie all went to St. Alexander's with each other and kept good grades. Borris kept chasing squirrels, Mr. Robinson kept working as the CEO of a company and Mrs. Robinson kept teaching a high school chemistry class. Everything in that family was fine. Nothing like what had happened to them would ever happen to their family.
