Sunday night, Kevin went to bed hearing voices once again. He put his earplugs in and drifted to sleep quickly. Until three in the morning came and Borris nudged Kevin's elbow with his wet nose. Kevin took his earplugs out and followed Borris, without question, down to the basement. Kevin was half asleep, not knowing what really was going on. Kevin trusted Borris so it didn't matter if Kevin knew what was going on or not.
Borris led Kevin to the spot where he scratched and clawed and soon destroyed. He got up on his furry hind legs and gave a few scratches to the wall until Kevin understood what he needed to do. With all of the ten-year-old-boy strength he could muster, he pulled at the wooden boards underneath the plaster of the wall. He pulled and pulled with his thin, pale little boy arms until the board gave away and he stumbled backwards at the action.
Kevin saw what must've been a man's face, pale and lifeless looking. Kevin removed two boards above that to reveal three lifeless bodies, rotting inside the walls. All three men in the wall open their eyes at the same time, coming out of their coma. Kevin screams, running away, not able to get the sight of three men with the skin peeling off of their faces and the way their skin hugged their bodies, showing every last bone. The three men die right after their contact with fresh air, as they have been without food and water for many months.
Kevin ran up to his parent's room, tears streaming from his scared eyes. "Mommy!" he yelled. "Daddy!" he cried. He explained what he saw in the basement between stutters and hiccups. They followed him downstairs, not eager to see the situation because they thought Kevin probably just had a bad dream. Once they saw the dead bodies squeezed behind the wall, Mrs. Robinson started crying herself.
Jane immediately called the realtor who sold them house, wondering what the hell was going on. David was just confused. He brought Kevin back upstairs and was just in time to stop the twins from following the noise from the basement. The realtor who sold the Robinsons this house had no idea that there were bodies inside the walls. It's not like people have special checks to see if there is anything weird inside the walls of a house before they sell it. The woman did suggest hiring a private investigator to further research this situation and find out why this happened. So that's exactly what Jane Robinson did.
Nobody slept, the kids got an early start to school. Kevin stayed home, figuring out how to cope with his trauma. Mr. Robinson took a day off from work and realized how much he enjoyed it and how much he should do it more often. Mrs. Robinson searched for good private investigators to hire. She found one who seemed promising in the area. His name was Jorge Hawking. From his website he looked professional and responsible and perfectly capable of the job for a reasonable price. Jane called him up, explaining the situation and asking if he was interested in involving himself into it. Mr. Hawking of course took up the job, as he was very familiar with this problem. Jorge Hawking was the man who put those very bodies inside the walls of that very house.
