Chapter Eleven: The Masked Man

<Bryan's POV>

Alia nodded her head slightly unable to speak. I knew it was a yes. I tried to touch her back but when I did, she began to scream loudly.

"Ah!" she screamed in pain. I removed my hands from her back and tried to think of something I could do. I looked at Ponyta and Articuno to check them out. They were doing pretty well and knocked out two ninjas more leaving only six more ninjas. I looked all over the place but saw nothing. I then saw Celebi. Celebi was scared and was unable to move from its place. An idea came to my mind.

"Recover." I thought and ran to Celebi. I looked at Ponyta and Articuno again, there were only five more ninjas, and they were doing pretty well. Well that is until one of the ninjas teleported to Ponyta then kicked and punched it several times causing Ponyta to faint. I quickly took two of my poke balls in my poke belt and threw it in the air. Sneasel and Ho-Oh emerge from the white beam.

"Ho-Oh, heal Ponyta up with Recover. Sneasel, go protect Ho-Oh and Ponyta by attacking!" I commanded and they soon did their job. Ho-Oh, who immediately used Recover, finally healed Ponyta to half its HP. Sneasel, whose job is to protect them quickly used Fury Swipes at one of the ninjas. But then the ninja teleported and was about to kick Sneasel when Ho-Oh began to use Flame Thrower at the ninja causing it to fall to the ground unconscious. There are only four more ninjas remaining. One of the ninjas then teleported and I noticed something in my back.

"Ho-Oh, use Recover at Alia. Sneasel and Articuno, protect Ho-Oh!" I commanded and they all began doing their next job. I began to grab Celebi's hand and hugged Celebi tight. I felt a pain a second after as the ninja punched me on the back.

"Ah!" I screamed in pain as I fell to the ground unconsciously. Articuno, who saw me began to use Hyper Beam and knocked the ninja out. Three more ninjas remained. Alia ran to me really fast together with Ponyta, Articuno and Ho-Oh.

"Bryan! Are you okay?" she asked. Her eyes were worried.

"I-I-m f-fine, go and save Chris." I said to her.

"B-but, I-I j-just can't l-leave you h-here." she said. I patted her shoulder and smiled.

"Chris is more important. Now go." I said to her. A tear rolled down her cheeks but she removed it away after and nodded her head slowly.

"Go. Articuno, Ho-Oh and Ponyta will take care of me." I said and she stood up and went outside the restaurant. I was watching her as she slowly began to fade. I began to look at Celebi. I smiled. Celebi was safe. After that, I stared at Ho-Oh and began to speak.

"Ho-Oh, use Recover." I commanded.

<Chris' POV>

Gerald smiled at me evilly. His eyes seem to be thinking something. But what could it be?

"You really want to sacrifice yourself?" he asked suddenly. I was a little shock from the sudden asking of question.

"No." I simply replied.

"I don't know what this is about, but I command you to knock Gerald out! I shouted while twirling my fingers. After that, I quickly pointed it at Gerald. A ray of light with mixed colors of glitters came out of my finger and went nearer to Gerald. Gerald just stood there and smiled, evilly. He then suddenly disappeared and then appeared in the right side, and then disappeared again, and then appeared on the left side going nearer to me. What he was doing seems like a Quick Attack, except is that it was faster. He then came in front of me and began to grab my neck and pulled me up. I tried to break free by struggling but he was too strong. I tried to remove his hands but then it was no use. I then twirled my fingers again and began to speak

"I haven't been stung by a bee, so I command you to break me free!" I shouted and then I teleported on his back. I was about to kick him when suddenly, a protective shield appeared protecting Gerald. Gerald turned around and looked at me creepily.

"You are not the only one with powers." he said then suddenly, a tree branch coming from a tree beside me suddenly grew and formed a big hand and grabbed me. The hand then threw me on another tree and I felt pain hit my back. I looked at Gerald again. The protective shield that was protecting him slowly disappeared. But then he went nearer to me and began spreading his arms. Two fireballs suddenly appeared on both his two hands and two rings of fire surrounded him.

"H-how'd y-you d-do t-that?" I asked, afraid.

"Magic." he simply replied and he raised his right hand. I closed my eyes. I heard loud bangs of thunder.

"He was controlling the elements." I thought. Slowly, I began to feel the heat of the fire going nearer to me. A tear rolled down to my cheeks as I felt the fire go nearer to me. I felt a cold breeze on my ear and I realized it was Gerald's mouth.

"Chris, prepare to die." he whispered at me. I closed my eyes tighter and felt the fire go nearer to me.
