*At the Hospital*
*Dylan's POV*
The Doctor came out of the room.
"Doctor? How is she?" I said worrying.
"I'm sorry my boy, I've tried everything I could...But she's passed on." He said.
I froze there. I fell on my knees and there were tears streaming down my face. Lauren. She just couldn't take it. She went to sit and started screaming. Lisa was next to me, and we cried together. Suddenly, a nurse came out.
"Doc! Our patient's alive! Her heart is still beating. She said someting too. Uuum about how sorry she was to a girl named Lauren and some boy called Dylan?" She said.
The Doctor immediately went back inside the surgery room.
I was stunned. So was Lauren. I just sat there, with a million questions running through my brain. I sighed in relief, knowing I still had hope of talking to my love again. Lisa stood up, and called Chrissy, Kath, and Mike.
I called Jason, and they all said they would be here in about 10 minutes.
About ten minutes later, they all arrived. " WHAT HAPPENED?!" Chrissy asked, panting.
I basically dragged her to some room along with Lisa.
*In the Room*
"Okay, explain!" Chrissy demanded.
"ItwasallmyfaultthatDanigothitbyacar," I said.
"How is that your fault?" She asked.
"Well, as you two know I've been dating Lauren for these few weeks. And before I dated her, I fell for Dani," I said. They all gasped.
"Then, I started to date Lauren. I loved her a lot, Then I started to hang out a lot with Dani, and I started to fall for her again. So I wanted to spare Lauren's feelings, and I broke up with her, telling her the reson was that I was seeing someone else, and she then smiled and walked away. We promised we'd still be good friends though. Then, I wrote Dani an apology letter." I said, gasping for air.
"Go on," Lisa said.
"Then, I asked Dani to meet me at the park. We met up and found out that we liked each other. Then I asked her if she would do the honor the be my girlfriend. She was about to answer, when Lauren came. So I went home. Then when I called you guys to invite you for dinner, Lauren and Dani was nowhere to be seen," I said.
"After a while, I started panicking and asked Lisa to start her car and help me look for the two. We found Dani at the park, She was overthinked about Lauren and her. I calmed her down, and I hugged her. Then, she said she would be my girlfriend. I was so happy we leaned in for a kiss, and we didn't notice Lauren saw us." I said nervously and they nodded.
"Then Lauren began to run, and Dani tried to chase after her and Lauren was just to fast, and Dani already had tears in her eyes. She knelt down in the middle of the rain, and she didn't notice a car moving towards her. It hit her." I said, quietly.
Chrissy just kept quiet and went outside. She told Mike and Kath about what happened, and they all seem to understand. I was glad.
After a minute or two, The Doctor came out for the second time.
"Your sister is one of the luckiest people in the world, she stood strong and survived the surgery." He said, and we smiled.
"But... there are some side effects from the surgery. She hit her head pretty hard, so she may have some memory lost. Some she would not remember, some that she would remember wrongly." He said sadly.
We all frowned in despair, and asked if we could see her. She was put into a room, and we quickly went inside.
*Lauren's POV*
Ohmygosh. What have I done? We went into her room, and I saw tubes and everything else connected the her parts.
One minute later, she opened her eyes.
"Huh? Where am I?" She asked.
"Dani! Dani you're alright!" We all yelled and went to hug her.
I was so relieved, and also went to hug her.
I was about to give her a hug when she said; "Who are you?" And gave me a cold glare.
"She's your sister, Lauren!" Dylan said.
"I don't have a sister named Lauren" She said coldly.
"Uum yeah you do." Lisa said.
"No, I don't." She said.
I just stood there and froze.
I was shocked. Really shocked.
