I stared at the ring. My heart was beating fast and his face was making me nervous. He scratched his backhead in despair and I tried to find the words to say. He took my hand and said "I never stopped loving you, Rachel". His eyes were full of tears and I tried to wipe them away, but he took a step back. "I'll call you later". He turned around and walked away.
An old lady walked over to me, she poked my shoulder and I said "Hey... do you need help?" She shaked her head and said "How can you reject such a nice boy?" I took a deep breath and said "You dont understand, ma'm. It's complicated... he has done some bad things and I just took him back and I think it's to early..." She shaked her head again "When I was at your age the same thing happened to me, and I forgave him. See, here's the ring he gave me. We have been married in 60 years now! I will recomend you to go after him... What do you have to loose? I can tell he is your everything". She smiled and walked away from me. She was right... I didn't have anything to loose.
I grabbed my bag and ran after him. I could see him there, far away just walking on the pavement. He had everything to loose. I reached him and grabbed his coat. He turned around and I kissed him. His arms wrapped around me and the sweet fragrance of lavendel reached me. He cried and sobbed, it really showed me how much he cared. "Ask me again" I whispered. He took my hand and opened the box with the ring in. He smirked and asked "Will you marry me?" He plased the ring on my finger and we could hear people aplauding. I kissed him and that was my answer.
