Hi!! So this started of as a school assignment, but once again, I went way over board with the number of words, pages, etc.

I'll be posting frequently, I promise :) I'll try to do that with Separated, too okay? :)

Also, I am not a historian so some things may not be historically correct, but I hope you forgive me!

Enjoy!

Dear Sam,

I am so very, very sorry. Since you didn't want to join the army and father still wanted you to do so, I felt protective over you. I only had to figure out a plan to replace you in the army. So I waited until after the health exam in the hospital, because when participating in one of these examinations, it is very hard to hide that I am not a boy. How's your head? I hope I didn't hit you too hard, but I had to make sure that you couldn't come after me for a short while so that I could join the boat.

I am on the boat now and here is some good news for you: no one has discovered I am a girl yet and I do not think it wil happen soon, since we'll be soon all covered up in mud, dirt and God knows what else. I am worried about mum and dad. I hope they are doing well.

Once again, the fact that we are twins is working out in my/our favour. I am lucky you're not very muscular.

Well, so far, so good. Please send my regards to mum and dad. I'll write to you soon.

Love,

Jane
