"I am Emma," she finally said, and he embraced her in his arms.

"Oh Lord, only you and I know, how I controlled this last hours living in the maze," he showered her with kisses, taking hold of the bracelet from her hands, he tied it on her wrist.

She smiled widely.

"Why did you lie to me?" his eyes glistering.

"Because aunty would kill an innocent baby," she said with tears.

Devin was mortified. "She would do what?"

"Kill a baby. Come." she knew it was time to tell him everything, she could not leave without him and it was time to trust him fully. He was an army man, he would solve the problem. She was being foolish, she realized.

They entered in a servant room, where he saw a baby sleeping on the bed. He assumed his parent would be working here.

"He is Mark. His father is dead and his mother works here. Three years back when I decided to leave home, she beat him and forced me to stay. I thought going to police would help but she had a spy behind me, I received a call before I could step in, the baby was crying and I was forced to come at home. To teach me a lesson she burnt his little hands. I cried and she laughed. I tried to tell the servant to leave but she could not, her husband had borrowed money from her and she had to work till reimbursed. I know you must be shocked to see it still exists. It does." she said with warily.

"When you came back, I was excited to hear it and wanted to meet you but she took me here when I refused to heed her words to be away from you and pretend to be Eva. She beat the kid, once again forcing me to play along her." she said with tears, caressing the baby's hairs and rose her head to look at him.

He was standing just behind him, very saddened how much she had to bear away from him; and the little baby who was punished in all this.

He sighed, this tyranny had to stop.

"I will stop this Emma, I promise and we will get married," he cupped her face and kissed her deeply, getting equal response back.

"I love you," she whispered against his lips.

"I love you too," he hugged her, feeling at home.

"Let's go or he would wake up," they left the room discreetly.

They went to her room and locked it from outside, making it look that it is from inside.

Then the discreetly sneaked out of the house, "where are we going Devin?" she questioned, unaware of his plans.

"Surprise," he winked at her and took her to his car a few blocks away. He drove to a place she didn't know.

Coming out of the car, he helped her out and scooped her in his arms.

He was an army man, plan was in his blood and he didn't make plan in the lose.

"I don't like surprises," she whined as she relaxed in his arms, although feeling shy.

"You will love this surprise, trust me," he smiled.

"I always do. I did trust you to find out when I was lying too," she said confidently.

"Then why lie?" he demanded.

"Because I was afraid for the kid," she said with a shiver, "It kills me a little everytime she tortures him,"

"No more torture will be inflicted on him, I promise," he said, assuring her.

"I know, I knew it all along." she sighed against his chest, and heard his heart pounding. "Your heart is beating so quick and so loud," she remarked.
