Shy

It's a hard phrase to let slip past my lips, for I have trouble allowing people in.
I'm sorry if I hurt you because of my problem pronouncing such a strong phrase to explain how much you mean to me.
Believe me when I tell you that I need you, I miss you.
And please know that, although I have trouble, you mean the world to me and more.
When I ask you if you want to hang out for longer, or ask you to come again - I really just want you to stay.

When I met you, I didn't expect to fall this hard, care this much, or even begin to like you.
But I did.
When I met you, I never expected to love you this much.
But the way you make me feel is fantastically insane, and I wouldn't change in for the world.

Know that when I stutter, slip up, my face reddening,
I'm trying to offer you a simple phrase.
I love you.
