Chapter 2: Gone

Stiles' P.O.V. / First Person / Location: Case High School, cafeteria

"Due to a state of national emergency, all schools are getting out early today. Goodbye."


I hear an unusual announcement on the speaker system in lunch. I'm sitting next to Sophia. We're both munching on some chicken sandwiches. "Hey Sophia, what do you think that means?" I say in between bites of chicken. "I dunno." she replies, muffled, mouth equally full of chicken. She swallows. "Maybe the fuccbois finally took over the world." she continues. "At least we get out early."
"Yeah. That's a pretty fire thing to happen." I say. "We should go to squad house."
"Alright, I'm pretty sure I can hang today."

We get up from our seats and start out of the school.

Later, when walking to Eric's house, Sophia and I are in the middle of talking shit about Romeo's book : Romic Squad vs Humans vs Vampires vs Dragons vs Demons. "That fucking book is so dumb!" I exclaim. "That book is so dumb that if it was a person it would sit on the tv and watch the couch." Sophia replies. "Isn't that a Yo Mama joke?" I ask her while slightly squinting. "Yeah, so?" she blankly retorted."Whatever. Romic squad vs dis dick." I say while laughing. I throw my head back, sighing contentedly. I look up towards the sky, and watch the clouds for a few seconds. "Why did he even write that thing?" I ask Sophia.
There's no answer.
"Bitch, you better answer before I roast your ass to a crisp." I say. I look back towards the street at Sophia. She's not there. Confused, I look around for her. I don't see her anywhere. "Stop hiding you little fgt" I call out to Sophia.
Suddenly, I hear a crack, then feel a deep, intense pain in the back of my head. The view of the street gets blurry. I hear footsteps.

"Fuck..." I think, before I fade into blackness.
