She tried to argue with me but I ignore it completely. She never has and never will have anything important to say to me.
I walk out of the basement and head up the steps to get some food. I haven't eaten all day, so now I'm starving. There was a rack of ribs out with my name in front of them. Jules has to be the one to leave it out.
There are times when I wonder if she is the only friend I have. She was here for me before I even got into the pack. She was the one who begged and begged and begged for them to leave me in. I owe her my life.
She walked into the room yawning. I run up to her and hug her as tight as I could. She hugged back but seemed a bit hesitant with it. Once I stepped away from her she looked at me confused asking, "What's this for?" I motion to the food but it did not seem to help her understand it much better. She looked back over at me "Still don't know what the hug was for."
I look at the food then back to her asking, "Did you not leave the food or here for me? "
Jules shook her head, "No, I didn't do it. Who else could it be?" I shrug and start eating.
I could not remember the last time I had something that great. It had to be one of the best ribs I've had in my life even if they were a bit cold.
Jules stays with me and we talked about miscellaneous useless stuff while I ate. I couldn't have asked for a better friend than her.
Chris came in looking at the both of us, "What are you both still doing up? You know we are in a war correct? That means you have to be where I say when I say. I dont want either of you to get hurt."
Jules gets up apologizing, "I'm very sorry sir. I was just geting worried about Max because he was taking forever to get back and you always say we will never leave a friend behind so I had to stay up."
He nods saying, "Its fine. Just go up to your room."
She nods and quickly goes up to her room. I head to my room but Chris stops me, "We need to talk."
He never tells me to talk to him. At least not like this. Last time he did this it was to tell me that Sarah –who was like my little sister– died.
I nod and he leads me to one of the couches. I sit and he does the same. "You know I think a lot of you. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you. This guy though, he leads one of the largest packs in the country and I was hoping that we could get his support."
I groan, "look Chris, I'll do whatever it takes to get him to be on our side. But please don't drag this out? I'm super tired and just want sleep. Tell me what's up?"
He takes a deep breath then says, "I need you to pack your things."
"Why? Am I going somewhere else?" I get up.
"Yeah, see the thing is. You're not welcome here anymore. You are no longer apart of our pack. Goodbye Maxson."
