@Picture of Nick -^
He'd chosen it for the atmosphere. Sashana was sure of it has she saw the mansion on the cliff. It was stone gray and solitary, the house was both magnificent and enchanting.
Like something from a movie Sashana thought as she shifted into first to take the climb. She had heard Nick Anderson was eccentric and the house proved it.
All it needs,she mused,is a bolt of thunder, a little fog and a pack of howling wolves; just some minor special effects. Amused by her thoughts she brought the car to a stop and took a once over of the mansion in front of her.
The moment she shifted from the car, the wind pulled at her, whipping her hair around her face and tugging at her skirt. She was tempted to take a look around the mansion but hurried up the steps instead. She hadn't come to admire the view.
The knocker was old and heavy. It gave a very loud thud when she pounded it on the door. Sashana told herself that she was not nervous but fiddled with the hem of her skirt as she waited. Her father would be extremly furious if she walked away without Nick's signature on the contracts she carried. Nobody hated not getting what they wanted as Bennet Hamilton .
I am not going to walk away empty handed she assured herself. I know how to handle temperamental entertainers. I've spent years watching how it's done and-----
Her thoughts were cut off as the door opened. Standing before her was the largest man she had ever seen. He was atleast six foot five, with shoulders that nearly filled the door way. And his face was pale with a slightly crooked nose . His eyes were chocolate brown which seems to go perfectly with his thick mat of brown hair.
"Good afternoon," she said. "Sashana Hamilton. Mr. Anderson
is expecting me.""Miss Hamilton." The slow deep voice suited him perfectly. When the man stepped back. She walked in. As the door closed behind her, Sashana took a good look around her.
"Wait here,"the butler instructed and walked, lightly for such a big man, down the hall."Sure, thank you very much ," she muttered to his back.
The walls of the house were white and lined with art work.The one nearest to her was a scene showing young Arthur drawing the sword from the stone with Merlin the enchanter highlighted in the background. Sashana nodded. It was a very creative artwork, must have been done by someone with great skill.
Turning, she found herself staring at her own reflection in an silver lined glass.
It annoyed her that her hair was was mussed. She represented Hamilton Productions. Sashana pushed at the stray misty brown wisps. The captivating blue of her eyes had been glowing with a mixture of anxiety and excitement. Her cheeks were flushed with it . Taking a deep breath, she ordered herself to calm down. She straightened her jacket.Hearing footsteps, she quickly turned around to see the butler.
"He'll see you downstairs ."
"Oh. "Sashana opened her mouth to say something but he was already retreating . She had to scramble to keep up.
The hall wound to the right . Sashana's heels clicked quickly as she trotted to meet the butler's pace . Then he stopped abruptly, she nearly collided with his back.
"Down there." he had opened a door and was already walking away
"But......" Sashana scowled after him, then made her way down the dark stairs. Really, this was ridiculous, she thought. A buisness meeting should be held in an office, or atleast in a suitable resturant.The sound of her own footfall echoed back at her. There was no sound at all from the room below. Her heart was hammering uncomfortably as she rounded the last curve in the winding staircase. Or so she thought but only to be met with more stairs. She was beginning to strongly dislike Mr. Anderson.
