There couldn't have been a worse fate.
Being forced to give guitar lessons to one of the mindless douchebags at our school was by far the most terrible torture I could endure.
So when I stuck the sign-up sheet on the dashboard that had last been looked at in the eighteenth century, I made sure it was hidden under the various sheets.
It was Thursday afternoon, and if I actually had to give any lessons they'd be on Friday and Saturday after school; great way to spend my time.
I hadn't told the band about all this yet- I had a weird sense of doom telling me I shouldn't.
"What're you doing, Harleigh?" The cocky voice I loathed said from behind me. I couldn't see him, but I just knew he was smirking.
Stupid, infuriating smirk.
"Nothing that concerns you, Blaize." I snapped back, calling him by his last name just like he did to me.
"Come on, Harleigh, we both know you wouldn't be seen dead near the school bulletin board." He leaned against the wall, blonde hair flopping over his eyes. It was just as well; I'd hate to look at his ugly face.
"Nothing." I was getting irritated now- Sebastian Blaize and I had never gotten along. He was the total opposite of me- a popular, one of the spineless bland ununique people who 'ruled'. Jock, player, much too hot to be friendly.
Me; the lowest rank of people there were, scene goth girl, band playing, untrendy.
"Guess I'll just have to see for myself." Seb rolled his eyes and reached towards the sheet I'd stuck up.
"No!" I cried, trying to block it from his view, which just made him smirk and push me out of the way.
"Guitar lessons?" He said in disbelief.
"Tell anyone- and... You're dead." I hissed in my most menacing voice. A flash of shock flitted over his face before it resumed to his trademark smirk.
God, I hated him, going around acting like there was nothing better than him.
"Guitar lessons." He repeated, shaking his head, before strutting away, pants falling off his butt.
Just as I suspected, our band song hadn't gone down with the school, especially with the principal- the look on his face when we finished was identical to a shark's.
I chuckled slightly and continued on to class, sliding into my seat next to Griffin.
"Hey, where were you?"
"Um... Female issues." I lied quickly. I really didn't want them to find out about this whole guitar lessons thing; they'd get pissed at me for not being rebellious enough and I definitely couldn't tell them now Blaize knew about them...
"Oh, right." Griffin said with an embarrassed sort of shrug.
"So, you been writing songs recently?" I struck up a conversation, which was easy anyways for Griffin and I.
