Me: What in blue blazes were you thinking?
Jess: I was trying to get her back for what she did yesterday before you stepped in and ruined everything.
Me: Hey, I was just trying to save you. Anyway, don't go around fighting people and getting in trouble!
Jess: I got this! Okay?
I got the "Watch out for Jess" vibe.
Me: Okay, how about this? I'll report her to the principal and you won't have to do anything but not hurt anyone. Okay?
