Chapter 14 The Carnotaurus Strikes

Fevy was in a deep sleep when he soon felt a light wind rustling against his downy feathers. The rustling started getting stronger and stronger and suddenly, he felt the ground swerve to the left and then swerve to the right. And then Fevy heard a deafening roar and then he suddenly woke up and saw a medium large figure with flesh-tearing teeth attacking and slashing. Fevy soon was filled with panic, and Fevy started squawking and screeching, a most common instinct for young juvenile Utahraptors, then Fevy heard panting. At first Fevy thought that it was him but then realized that the panting was deeper so it obviously couldn't have been his. Then Cap DB weakly but quickly said "Don't worry Fevy-boy I'll get us out of here." "Are you weawy sure it's going to be just vat easy?" Fevy yelled over the deafening roars of the figure."I'm not sure but I'm not going down without a fight, son." Said Cap DB. They started getting closer to the figure and then Robby and Jonath woke up quickly when the creature roared. "What in the heck is going on, bro!?" Asked Robby. "It appears we're being attacked by a Carnotaurus." Said Jonath. "A what?" Asked Cap DB. "A Carnotaurus. Meaning 'Meat Eating Bull' it's vey small if it's a male. But the females however....pheeeweee!" Said Jonath lost in thought. "Welw do you know anyfing that tould help us wight now?" Fevy yelled over the Carno.'s roars. "That screeching agitates them and they can be distracted for only a few minutes." "Well, DBster, that's your que, bro!" Robby told Cap DB. "Please never call me that again." Said Cap DB. "Dust do wit!" Said Fevy. So Cap DB squawked very loud and the Carno perked its head up and started urinating in agitation. And the guys had time to escape from the Carno. What they didn't realize was that the path that they were on was a small game trail that split into to sections to the right was a Carnotaurus nest which is the way they took and to the left was a path that led up to an open plain which is the path that Aron, Ronda, Alia, and Velma took. Cap DB found an area where a wildfire took place which was full of burnt stumps and ash covered ground. Cap DB landed and the guys tried to figure out where they were. "So does anyone even have the slightest idea where we are!?" Asked Kyle full of panic. "Well I'm picking up the rest of the gang's scent." Said Jonath. Jonath started sniffing the ground. It was hard for him to smell anything through the stench of the ash. "So how did they get pass Mr. Choppy Mic Slashy?" Asked Kyle. "Because we were traveling on a game trail that split into two paths. Ronda and the rest went to the left and we went to the right, which was apparently the Carnotaurus's nesting site." Said Cap DB. "Well why didn't you tell us that before, bro.?" Asked Robby starting to get a bit tense. "Because I just then realized that when I was landing." Cap DB said calmly. Robby loosened up. "So how do we get back on the game twail?" Asked Fevy. "I'm picking up their scent. If we follow it, it'll lead us to the rest of the gang." Said Jonath. Just then Kyle heard a loud HIIIIIISSSSS and then everyone turned around and saw an enormous snake about as long as two full grown apatosauruses and about as tall as Robby raise its head, tilt its head, stare at them with its heart chilling soulless dark snake eyes, and then strike at them nearly missing Jonath. "Uh do you have any idea what that thing is, bro!?" Robby yelled with his heart pounding so hard that it felt to him like his heart was going to pop out of his body. "Oh....no!" Jonath mumbled "......i-it it's a GIGANOTOPHIS!!!" Jonath was scared to death he thought this species had died off from an earlier time but here was within ten feet of it. "A WHAT!?" Asked Kyle just as surprised as Jonath. "Most dinosaurs just call it a tophis for short. It weighed as much as mom but was about as smart as a stegosaurus." Jonath said. "-And it has a dangerous and deadly biological weapon just like T-Rex but with a slightly more venomous bite." Said Kyle not taking his eyes of the Mega-Snake. Just then, the tophis lunged to the right but didn't bite. then it lunged to the left still not biting. It then started lunging at them from many different angles not biting. It was as if it was teasing them but it wasn't it was- "What's it doing?" Cap DB asked tensely.
"It's testing our speed and reflexes. Fascinating!" Jonath said with a sort of dark tone. "Well what do we do?" Asked Fevy. "I uh-uh...um" Stammered Jonath. "We're so doomed, bro!" Said Robby
