Kaida's POV

Awakening after a disturbing nightmare of burning fire and the cries of my fellow dinosaurs as they burned alive. Kaida pushed the furs of her bed back and pulled the soaked white hair from her face. Groaning unhappily Kaida now was in her human form as she usually shifted during the night during such nightmares. She always wondered why she would shift during such nightmares and had questioned her beast about it many times. The beast never had an answer for her though and would always retreat to the furthest reaches of her mind. As she had done tonight. She stretched out her muscles and stood up from her soft bed of animal furs.

Kaida walks over to the cliffs edge that over looks her valley which she now shared with a werewolf pack. She stood there for a few moments more admiring it beauty before her body screamed at her for a bath after the nightmare soaked her with sticky sweat. She agreed with it as a bath might be calming and may awaken her beast from its slumber. She pulls the rope down from its perch and proceeded to climb down the Cliffside. As long as her beast remained this way it would be difficult to shift back into her raptor form and thus making it difficult to defend herself. The early morning air kissed at her white skin as a soft breeze blow by. She slowly made her way towards the warm creek water as it was part of a natural hot spring.

Entering into the warm water she couldn't help the moan that escaped her lips. The warm water felt so good against her sticky white skin. She walks in until the water was just about knee high and leans over trying to wash her hair against the gentle current. Upon raising her head she swung her dripping wet hair towards her back. Feeling a hot puff of air upon the back of her neck she was stunned as a horrible roar filled the air and a sharp sting hit her across the back. Knees buckled as the impact knocked her off her feet as water splashed around her. Turning around she came face to face with the bear that loved a good fight from her.Not tonight she thought Its time to end our rivalry and to put and end to you. She roared as the beast had awakened within her and allowed her body to shift. She stood pacing around him as he swung his massive paws at her. She needed an opening so that she could attack this creature that found it interesting enough to hunt her.

As he lowered himself to follow her as she walked around behind him. There's my opening she though she roared again as she leaped upon his back digging in her powerful claws. He stood again shaking her off but her claws ripped his back open. She paced around him waiting for another opportunity to attack. She had to avoid his claws as he was almost evenly matched with her strength. He began to stagger as blood poured from his back from the deep gashes she had created. He went down onto his fore paws yet again unable to stand up anymore. Leaping onto him again she buried her claws into his back again and clamps her powerful jaws onto his neck. She twisted her head around tearing the flesh on the bears neck. Blood filled her mouth as she worked. She ripped him with her clawed hands as flesh clung on her claws. The bear released a gurgled roar before collapsing onto the ground in a massive heap.

Breathing heavily she laid down herself as she was exhausted and to bleeding from the gashes across her back. She knew not to shift as it would be dangerous for her. Once rested she stood up and admired her trophy. Using her claws she began to clean the bear for food. She went across his back with skilled claws a she pulled the bears hide from his meat that lay beneath it. Once she finished that task it was breaking dawn and the sun had began to rise in the east splashing colors into the morning sky. She rested for a bit as she pulled off some of the meat and began to eat some breakfast. The bear meat tasted wonderful as it slid down her throat. Once she ate breakfast she finished preparing the meat and laying the strips of meat into the bears hide. She wrapped the bears hide around the meat and picked it up within her powerful jaws carrying it back towards her den. Once there she used the rope to pull the bear into her den were she placed each piece unto a drying rack for curing. She finished with that and stretched out the hide and mixed the brains with a bit of water to tan the hide.

Her tasks finished for the afternoon she climbs down the rope and returns to the warm creek to wash the dry blood from her body. Maybe now I can enjoy a warm bath she thought to herself. She was exhausted as her sleep had been interrupted with nightmares and her day was filled with fighting with the bear and then cleaning him for meat. She hadn't once seen or heard from her mate thus she thought he might have decided to reject her after all. Her and her beast both cared for him deeply already. She glances in the direction the mansion laid and wondered what they were doing right now.

She steps deeper into the water than this morning and proceeds to wash the sticky blood from her fair skin. Her back stung as the claw marks slowly healed themselves. She finally finished cleaning her body and had to scrub the blood from her hair. Once she finished she laid down on a warm boulder to dry her skin in the warm sun. She couldn't remain here for very long else her skin would burn. She truly hated being an albino as it was a curse in so many ways. She often wondered what she would look like in her true color. She remembered her fellow raptors were of a bluish grey. As the males were brightly colored in a blue and green color with fan like tails that much resembled the peacocks of today.

She shifted back into raptor form and began to walk back towards her den. She wondered what it would be like to live within a pack. Amongst friends family her mate if it would only happen. When she arrived at her den sight and begins to climb her rope and ties it up. She walks over towards her bear hide and begins scrapping it cleaning it off and applying another layer of the tanner. Satisfied with it she backs up and smiles. At least she would have a great trophy for all of todays work and a new scar once her claw marks healed. Glancing up at the sky she noted that it was late afternoon. Heavy lidded eyes called her for a nap. Maybe the night would gift her a visit from her mate. She laid down in her bed of soft pelts. She drifted off into a peaceful sleep undisturbed from nightmares. She awoke a couple of hours later feeling a bit refreshed but thirsty. She pulled off her furs and stood and stretched out her stiff muscles. Wincing at the sharp pull of her gashes. They themselves would heal in a day or two but she knew not the depth of them. She walks over towards her water source and fills a wooded cup with it contents. She places the cup to her lips and tilts her head back. She savors the sweet taste of the water as it slides down her throat. Energy fills her body as she savors the life filled moment. Opening her eyes she places the cup back onto its holder and walks away time to pack some of the dry bear meat for Xur and his pack. She picks a deer hide placing upon the floor of the cave. She pulls pieces of dry bear meat unto it leaving the pieces that still needed to dry upon the rack. She ties the sack closed and places it at the entrance of the cave.

Once finished she heard his beckoning call it sent a shiver of happiness through her. She quickly dresses into a doe skin dress. Picking up the meat she grabs the rope and climbs down the cliff face. She walks a fair distance picking up her mates wonderful scent. There he sat in his black wolf form and she couldn't help but admire his beautiful coat. She sat the pack down and closes the distance between them. "Hello Alpha," she spoke softly. She held her head down in respect not moving any closer. Her beast was excited to see him that she could barely hold her back. Yet she remained motionless as she awaited his response. She feared his decision on the subject of them being mates. She grimaced as she realized blood was trickling down her back under the doe skin dress. Carrying the meat must have reopened the wounds. The smell of blood filled her senses as she took a wary step away from him.

She raises her head a bit still not making eye contact with him as she spoke. "I brought you and your pack a gift. It's dry bear meat fresh from this morning." she suggested as she motioned with her hand to were the bag lay. "I thought you all might be hungry sense you are still new here and haven't had the chance to hunt yet." As his mate she already felt like the Luna and she wanted to provide and care for the pack. Even if they hadn't accepted her yet it was her instincts to do this for them. She was afraid of the packs reaction to her as well if it had any reflection to Xur's reaction. That's why she had not followed him to the mansion last night.

"I hope the mansion has enough space for your pack and is comfortable enough for everyone." she said looking in the direction of the huge home. She closes her eyes as she visions living there with him and not up in the cave. She smiles softly as she could see kids running around the front with their mothers following close behind. She could see the men sitting around on the front porch chatting among themselves as they watched over their families in a protective manor .
