Kaida arrived at her cave home a few minutes later completely heartbroken and upset. Xur had shown her just how little he cared about her. She knew that his wolf cared deeply for her but the man had different feelings about her. She had done nothing to warrant his cold hearted attitude towards her. She grabbed ahold of the rope that would take her to the mouth of her home cave. Pressing her forehead against the cool shadowed rocks of the cliff bottom. Her eyes blinded with tears as she sobbed her heartbreak. She cried out her last tears as she looked up at her home for over 65 million years. It was time to move on she thought she would leave here and never return. Xur had been the only thing that her heart wanted and without him she no longer wished to live.
She slowly climbed her way up to the mouth of the cave savoring the last moments of her time here. When she reach the top she began gathering the items she wanted to take with her to her new home. Without the life giving water she would slowly begin to die but at least now she no longer feared death. Now she longed for it even her beast remained quite as they accepted their faith. Her beast had been quite since he had spoken so harshly towards them. "Are you ready?" she asked her quietly. *Yes* she whispered, "I hope death comes quickly." she adds.
Her bag was packed as she looked up at the cave walls admiring their artwork that covered its contents. Her history was written there and now it would be left here for others to enjoy. As now the death of the last dinosaur would truly end their reign. Forever. She walked over to her handmade paints and finished her art as she drew out her finding Xur and how he had rejected her. Her artwork was complete as she washed the paint from her hands. It was time to leave now as she made her way towards the mouth of the cave. It was now dark outside as the moon hung high in the cloudless sky. She smiles as it shone down into her beautiful valley the faint glow of the mansion could be seen from were she stood. She was glad that her valley would be fiercely protected by Xur and his pack.
She climbed down the cliff face jumping down the rest of the way landing softly on the leaves below. Sighing heavily she turns in the general direction that would lead her off of Xur's new territory. She remained in human form for a long while as she crossed the border that now marked his territory. A tear slide down her face as she turned to take one final look at her home. When she turned to finally leave she hit what felt like a tree. "Well, well, well, seems I finally get the chance to snag Xur's mate. I was beginning to wonder how I was going to get to you. He had those borders well protected. But we got you now how about you come quietly and no harm will come to you love." the strange man spoke with a great amount of confidence. Nodding her head she follows the man quietly towards his encampment. He lead her towards a small building placing silver shackles upon her wrists and ankles. Silver didn't harm her at all but she didn't let on to that little fact. She looked up at the man before she spoke, "I hate to tell you this but Xur rejected me that's why I was leaving my territory. Holding me hostage is not going to bring him here looking for me. Cant you tell by my scent that he hasn't even marked or mated me." she tried to reason with him. She didn't care what they did to her. Hell she could easily break free and kill everyone here but she just didn't care anymore.
He took in a deep breath taking in her scent. "Well you are indeed right about him not claiming you love. But I don't know for sure that he rejected you he might just be waiting for the right moment to mark and mate you." he said.
"Seriously? Do you really think an alpha wolf would allow his unmated, unmarked mate leave the territory if he hadn't rejected her. He would be so possessive he wouldn't even allow me out of the bedroom if he cared at all for me." she explained to him with a lowered head. "That's why I left his territory he doesn't want me. " she whispered. She looked up to see him with his head down as he shut the door to the makeshift prison. She sat there in silence as she thought about what Xur might be doing right now. Maybe its because she is broken that he didn't want her because she cant bare him an heir that can uphold his title. He would be happier if he could find a nice she wolf that was willing to bare him children and would submit to him happily. The wolves that had captured her were better known as a bipedal werewolf as when they shift they stand upright. Xur's species is more Lupine and are more in touch with their wolves. Thus it makes them stronger and more in control of their wolves. As she sat there thinking about everything she soon drifted off to sleep wondering how long they intended to keep her here.
She awoke with a start as the leader opened the door again in his hand he held a tray of food. It looked wonderful to her as it contained fruit and a choice of meats and cheeses. For being a captive they were treating her very well. Setting the tray of food down next to her he takes a step back. "Go ahead and eat love. We don't have any intentions of harming you we just want to join his pack. We thought with you we can finally get him to listen to us as we have tried many times to just get an audience with him. All tries have been ignored its because we are a different species as to why he wont even consider it. A note has been delivered to him through one of his border patrol. Hopefully he will finally listen to us now." he explained.
Her fear level dropped tremendously as he explained the reason for her capture. Maybe with this it would truly open him up to how he truly feels about her. If he came to her rescue then he really did care about her. If he ignored the note then what would she do. These bipedal wolves might offer her company here since they too were different like herself. "I hope your right. My name is Kaida by the way." she said as she began picking up the choice morsels of food and putting them into her mouth savoring the wonderful taste. She had never eaten food like this before as she was always living off of nature not that she was complaining.
"Mine is James and for both our sakes I hope I'm right too." he sighs. "Will you stay here until we know something from Xur?" he asked. Standing up as he pulls a key from his pocket. He was going to release her and let her wonder around camp.
"Trust me I have nowhere else to go as of right now I'm homeless." she sighs heavily. He steps up to her and unlocks the shackles from around her wrists and ankles. Noting that there was no silver burns around them. If she wasn't a werewolf then what was she he wondered. He kept his thoughts to himself as he released her. He could smell the power that radiated from her and figured that she could easily escape and leave many dead if she wanted too.
