Only You

Chapter 22

*Keenan's POV*

Everyone decided I should be one of the first two to go back to see Anari.

"Ma can you come with me?" I asked my mom. I just knew I wouldn't be able to go back there alone to see my queen in that condition.

"Yes, baby. Come on" she stood up from her chair and we got visitor passes.

"Ma. I don't wanna see her like this. She's only 18 and has been through so much and this is adding on to it"

"I know , Keenan. But God is trying to see how much you can handle. He's testing you."

"Well, there's not much more that I can take"

"We'll see" we got in front of the room Anari was in and I took a deep breath. My mom grabbed my hand for more reassurance and we walked into the room.

I took one look and Anari and lost it. I couldn't control the tears that were rolling down my face.

I walked closer to her bed and just looked at her. She had bruises on her face and her arm and leg were in casts. She had a cut under her left eye.

"It's okay baby. I'm right here" My mom said standing beside me. I nodded and gently placed my hand on her good hand.

"I'm so sorry you have to go through this baby. I wish I could just switch positions with you. I wish i was the one all cut and bruised up. I love you so much, Anari and I know you'll fight through this coma." I wiped the tears that happened to fall and kissed her cheek. My mom and I left the room so two more people can go.

"So I guess you the boy that stole my baby heart" that dude that looked like Anari and Alexis said when I sat down in the one of the chairs.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Alexis and Anari's father, Antonio Smith" he held out his hand for me to shake it but I just looked at him.

"Oh, so you to nigga that let them and made them suffer for almost a year. You been gone since May, but wanna just reappear in January like shit sweet. It ain't. You left them with nothing " I yelled

"Hol'up, I definitely did not leave my children. I just got caught up" he got loud back.

"Guys. Can we not do this here? Please." My mom said coming in between us. I just nodded and got up to see my daughters.

*Anari's POV*

I was in so much pain staring at complete darkness. I wanted to move and hug every single last person that came in wherever I was. I knew they were crying, but I don't know why. All I remember is Shawn and I chilling at my house watching movies.

*5 years later*

*Keenan's POV*

"Sorry sir if she doesn't wake up in the next 10 days we are gonna have to pull the plug on her." Anari's Doctor said to me over the phone.

"I understand. I'll be by their at my usual time to see her" I said hanging up

Sorry for the long wait and this short chapter. This is the final chapter of Only You but I will be writing a sequel called You Only coming soon when I get out of school for Christmas break.

Thank you for making my first book such a success and I plan on making the sequel even more drama filled, more action, more love, more everything. I plan on making the sequel keep you begging for more. You'll definitely be hearing from Shawn more in this book. I will introduce even more characters. So be on the lookout.
